Clyde E. Burnett Jr.
CAVE CITY - Clyde E. Burnett Jr., 79, of Cave City, passed away Saturday, Nov. 2, 2013, in Glasgow.
The Hart County native was born Sept. 26, 1934, to the late Clyde E. Burnett Sr. and the late Mamie Lee Simmons Burnett. He was a Korean War Army veteran, a retired welder for Chicago Bridge and Iron, a Baptist and a member of the VFW.
He is survived by two sons, Rickie Burnett (Becky), of Horse Cave, and Steve Burnett (Peggy), of Cave City; one stepbrother, Jamie Burnett, of Glasgow; four grandchildren, Chad Burnett, Stacy Burnett, Jeffrey Burnett and April Meador (Jacob) and six great-grandchildren, Brittany Burnett, Alaysha Burnett, Zachary Burnett, Stacia Burnett, Shawn Burnett and Kennedi Meador.
Visitation is in progress and will continue from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 5, at Patton Funeral Home, Park City Chapel. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday Nov. 5, at the funeral home with burial in Shady Grove Cemetery with Brother Billy Vincent officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Shady Grove Church Cemetery Fund.
Kathleen L. Bush
GLASGOW – Kathleen L. Bush, 86, of Glasgow, died Sunday, Nov. 3, 2013, at the home of her daughter in Cave City.
She was born in Bergh-Apton, Norfolk, England, the daughter of the late Horace and Dorothy Denny Harvey. Mrs. Bush moved to this area in 1946 from England and was a homemaker and a member of Grace Baptist Church.
She is survived by her two daughters, Thelma Ward Hamilton and husband Sam, of Cave City and Sylvia Houchens and husband Joe Danny, of Glasgow; four grandchildren, Sherri Garmon and husband Tim, Kellie Ward, Kim Dean and husband Grover and Jonathan Houchens and fiancée Mandy Steger; eight great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren; a brother, L.A. Harvey (Julie), of England; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil A. Bush; a daughter, Bette Kay Bush; and a sister, Doris Kelly.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6, at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Hiseville Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Tuesday.

Darrell J. Cross
MOUNT HERMON – Darrell J. Cross, 49, of Mount Hermon, died Friday, Nov. 1, 2013, at The Medical Center at Bowling Green.
He was the husband of the late Jackie Armour Cross, and son of the late Omas Cross and Lois Clark Cross.
Visitation was after 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 4, at Fairview Missionary Baptist Church in Monroe County. The funeral service followed at 3 p.m. at the church.
Burial was in Turner Cemetery in Monroe County
Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville was in charge of the arrangements.
