Earl L. Brown
EDMONTON – Earl L. Brown, 83, of Edmonton, died Friday, Oct. 4, 2013, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow.
He was the son of the late Henry and Janie Merrell Brown of Arkansas and he served in the U.S. Marine Corps.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia Howell Brown, of Edmonton.
Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Missionary Mound Cemetery with burial to follow. Visitation is in progress at Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton.
Louise Logsdon Clines
CAVE CITY – Louise Logsdon Clines, 86, of Cave City, died Friday, Oct. 4, 2013, in Bowling Green.
The Edmonson County native was the daughter of the late Veachel Edward Logsdon and the late Amanda Alice Martin Logsdon and wife of the late John Robert Clines.
Funeral service was 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 7, at Patton Funeral Home Brownsville Chapel. Burial was in Lambert Cemetery.
Finis Earl ‘Buddy’ Compton
EDMONTON – Finis Earl ‘Buddy’ Compton, 79, of Edmonton, died Friday, Oct. 4, 2013, at his home.
He was the son of the late Rufus and Rosa Jane Clemmons Compton.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma Compton.
Funeral services will be 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 9, at Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton with burial in New Liberty Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Kenneth W. Haines Sr.
PARK CITY – Kenneth W. Haines Sr., 95, of Park City, passed away Sunday, Oct. 6, 2013, in Louisville.
The VanWert County, Ohio, native was born on Feb. 2, 1918, to the late Walter Cleveland Haines and the late Mary Margaret Roberts. He was the husband of the late Mildred Ziegler Haines.
He was a graduate of Ohio State University where he was inducted into the Animal Science Hall of Fame, a farmer and member of Park City United Methodist Church and Kentucky Angus Association.
He is survived by two daughters, Jeannine Livesay and husband John and Carol Schumann and husband Gregg, both of Louisville; four sons, Kenneth Haines Jr. and his wife Sharon, Park City, Bruce Haines, Covington, La., Douglas Haines and wife Donna, Douglas, Ga., Dudley Haines, Louisville; two sisters, Dorothy Medley, Troy, Ohio, Doris Burt of Pensacola, Fla.; six grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by one brother, Donald Haines; one sister, Francis Dunlap and daughter- in-law, Ella Haines.
Visitation will be Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2013, 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday, Oct. 10, 2013, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Patton Funeral Home Park City Chapel. Funeral service will be Thursday, Oct. 10, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Patton Funeral Home Park City Chapel with burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
