Regina Mae Harper Hurt
TOMPKINSVILLE – Regina Mae Harper Hurt, 84, of Tompkinsville, died Tuesday, July 23, 2013, at her home in Tompkinsville.
She was the wife of the late Rondal Earl Hurt, and daughter of the late William Ernest Harper and Delphia Spear Harper.
Visitation is in progress and will continue after 7:30 a.m. on Thursday at Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville.
The funeral service will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in Skaggs Creek Cemetery in Monroe County,
Memorials are suggested to Skaggs Creek Cemetery, American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
ERIE, Pa. – Hannah Osborn, 30, passed away Saturday, July 20, 2013, in Erie, Pa.
Hannah was a 2001 graduate of Glasgow High School and worked at a CNA in Erie, Pa.
She is survived by her father, William Osborn, of Glasgow, her mother, Michelle Macbeth, of San Diego, Calif.; one daughter, Emalea Osborn, of Glasgow; one brother, Justin Osborn; three stepsisters, Angela (Ryan) Kunzler, of North East, Pa., Karen (Ryan) Ware, of Grovetown, Ga., Ashley Creech, of Grovetown, Ga.; stepmom, Susan, and special friend, Jeff Sawyer, of North East, Pa.
There will be a memorial service in honor of Hannah at Calvary Baptist Church, 307 Columbia Ave., Glasgow, on Monday, July 29, at 10:30 a.m.; open to the public at 9:30 a.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to Mary Wood Weldon Library, Glasgow.
Elizabeth L. ‘Liz’ Rigdon
LOUISVILLE – Mrs. Elizabeth L. Rigdon, “Liz”, 65, of Louisville, returned to her Heavenly Father on July 23, 2013, following a long battle with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP).
Mrs. Rigdon was retired from Louisville Gas and Electric and a member of Louisville Baptist Temple.
Her father, Edward Jolly, preceded her in death.
She leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband of 12 years, Gary Terry; son, Bill Rigdon (Linda); stepchildren, Kennethia Miller and Kamron Terry (Megan); grandchildren, Kelley and Wil; step-grandchildren, Sadie, Noah and Miles; mother, Florence Jolly; sister, Dana Raymond; brother, Edward Jolly; and first husband and friend, Tom Rigdon.
Funeral service will be noon Saturday, July 27, at Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Highway at Brooks Road) with interment in Hebron Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects on Friday from 3 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 11 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.

John Wayne Young
GLASGOW – John Wayne Young, 87, of Glasgow, died Tuesday, July 23, 2013, at his home.
He was born in Barren County, the son of the late C.L. and Bernice Moon Young. Wayne was a farmer and a former employee of General Electric in Louisville. He was a U.S. Navy veteran serving during World War II and was a member of Old Zion United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Jean Siddens Young; daughter, Teresa Young Steenbergen and husband Garry, of Cave City; granddaughter, Shannon Steenbergen Shirley and husband John, of Glasgow; great grandchildren, Annmarie and Jacob Shirley; brother, Marvin Young and wife Elnor Jean, of Glasgow; sister, Anita Thomas and husband Gayle, of Glasgow; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Joe Young; and three sisters, Helen Young, Wanda Young and Ruth Young Barton.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, July 27, at A.F Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Old Zion Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. Friday and continue Saturday morning until time for the service.
