Helen Louise Forsyth
GLASGOW – Helen Louise Forsyth, 73, of Glasgow, passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2013, at Glasgow Health and Rehab Center.
The Barren County native was born May 9, 1940, the daughter of the late Wynema Jump and the late Edwin Jump. She was a dedicated worker of Barren County Health Care Center and volunteered at other centers during retirement. She was a member of Temple Baptist Church.
She is survived by a sister, Willa Licata, of Mississippi; a brother, Tom (Pat) Jump, of Glasgow; beloved nieces and nephews; cherished friend/caregiver, Brenda Wright; cherished friend, Shirley Davidson; and many more.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Wanda Mapes, and a nephew, Stephen Licata.
Visitation will be Saturday, July 20, at 11 a.m., at McMurtrey Funeral Home, followed by the funeral at 2 p.m., with Reverend Dennis Hibbard officiating. Burial will follow in Union #2 Cemetery.

Careva Wyatt Galloway
GLASGOW – Careva Wyatt Galloway, 94, of Glasgow, died Wednesday, July 17, 2013, at NHC Healthcare in Glasgow.
She was born at Austin, a daughter of the late Reuben and Maude Rigney Wyatt. Mrs. Galloway was a homemaker and a former employee at Barren River State Park. She was a member of Concord Baptist Church.
Survivors include several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Scott Galloway; three sisters, Myrtle Agers, Lillie Ida Steenbergen and Addie Mae Steenbergen; and four brothers, Elmer, James R., Fred and Arvel Wyatt.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 2:30 p.m. Saturday.
Walter Richard Groce
TOMPKINSVILLE – Walter Richard Groce, 68, of Tompkinsville, died Thursday, July 18, 2013, at his home in Tompkinsville.
He is survived by his wife, Sally Smith Groce, of Tompkinsville.
He was the son of the late Walter H. Groce and Ruby Holman Groce.
Visitation will be after 4 p.m. Friday at Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville and after 9 a.m. on Saturday at Norris New Funeral Home in Burkesville. Masonic services will be conducted Friday night at 7:30 p.m. at Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville.
Funeral service will be Saturday at 3 p.m. at Norris New Funeral Home in Burkesville with burial in Chestnut Grove Cemetery in Cumberland County.
