GLASGOW —

TOMPKINSVILLE – Gladys Jean Burks Bowles, 74, of Tompkinsville, passed away Thursday, Jan. 24, at her home. Gladys was born in Glasgow on July 2, 1938, a daughter of the late Mary (Lyons) and James Burks. Gladys married Glyn G. Bowles on Aug. 7, 1954. She was a homemaker and a member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church.

Gladys is survived by a son, Larry (Diana) Bowles, of Mount Hermon; five grandchildren, Dallas Bowles, Cindy Bowles Walden, Mellissa Bowles Buck, Matt Bowles, and Shelly Bowles (Brandon) Capshaw; three great-grandchildren, Ashlynn Bowles, Alyssa P. Walden and Emmalyn Capshaw; one sister-in-law, Lorene Burks, of Glasgow and two nephews, Barry (Lacie) Burks and Mike Burks, all of Glasgow and several other nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Gladys was preceded in death by her parents, Mary (Lyons) and James Burks; her husband, Glyn G. Bowles; one son, Gary Bowles; one brother, James H. Burks; one nephew, Jeff Burks.

Funeral services will be Sunday, Jan. 27, 2013, 1:30 p.m. at Yokley Trible Funeral Home with James Howell officiating.

Visitation will be Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013, 4 to 9 p.m. and Sunday, Jan. 27, 2013, 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Yokley Trible Funeral Home. Interment in the White Cemetery.

Memorial donations to Mud Lick Fire Dept., American Cancer Society or Oak Grove Baptist Church.



GLASGOW – Ralph “Rusty” Duvall, 83, of Glasgow, died Friday, Jan. 25, 2013, at NHC Health Care. His funeral arrangements are incomplete but are under the direction of the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home.



CANMER – Audrey Terry, 81, of Canmer, passed away Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013, at her home in Canmer. She was a homemaker, a member of Munfordville Church of Christ and the oldest member of the Hart County Rescue Squad. She was the daughter of the late James Jones and the late Bessie (Keener) Jones Cochran.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fillie Terry; one son, Brother Jimmy Terry; one granddaughter, Felicia Dawn Terry.

She is survived by two daughters, Linda Terry, Canmer; Elaine Reynolds (Jerry), Munfordville; two sons, Allen Terry (Cindy) and Richard Terry (Tamara), all of Horse Cave; one daughter-in-law, Carlene Terry, Munfordville; one brother-in-law, Richard Rucker, Munfordville; 14 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, four step-grandchildren and seven step-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are being handled by Brooks Funeral Home, Munfordville, where the family will receive friends from 1 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013 and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 27, 2013. Funeral service will be at Brooks Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 27, 2013, with Marty Edwards and Wayne Hatcher officiating. Burial will be at Pearl Webb Cemetery, in Canmer.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Trooper Island, Inc.

UPTON – Ernest Lee Riggs, 62, of Upton, died Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013, at his home. Funeral services for Ernest Lee Riggs will be 1 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Sego Funeral Home, Munfordville, with burial in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be after 8 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.



GLASGOW – Christine Livesay Ross, 87, of Glasgow, died Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013, at Glenview Health Care in Glasgow. Funeral services will be 3:30 p.m. Sunday at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Sunday from 1 p.m. until time for the service. Burial will be in Glasgow Municipal Cemetery.
