GLASGOW — Carroll Clayton Stilts Jr.

CAVE CITY – Carroll Clayton Stilts Jr., 62, of Cave City, passed away Monday, Jan. 21, 2013, at Hart County Health Care Center, Horse Cave.

The Barren County native was the son of the late Mary Alma Martin Stilts and Carroll Stilts Sr., Cave City, who survives him.

In addition to his father, he is survived by a sister, Carolyn Stilts Payne, of Ellison Bay, Wis.

Funeral services, with Reverend Wayne Hatcher officiating, will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, at Bob Hunt Funeral Chapel, Cave City, with burial in Cave City Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home will be after 4 p.m. Friday.

Lisa Calhoun Underwood

GLASGOW – Lisa Calhoun Underwood, 55, of Glasgow, died Sunday, Jan. 20, 2013, at her home.

The Burkesville native was the daughter of the late Davis “Doc” Graves and Addina Fudge Graves, of Glasgow, who survives.

Lisa taught in Barren County, Caverna and Glasgow Independent School systems for 26 and-one-half years. She was a member of the NEA, KEA and GEA and a member of the Site-Based council at Glasgow Middle School. Lisa had been a coach at Glasgow schools coaching GMS Lady Scottie basketball for six years, head coach for Glasgow High School Lady Scottie softball for five years and volleyball for one year and the assistant coach for GHS Lady Scottie soccer for three years. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and the Growing Christians Sunday School Class.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband of seven-and-one-half years, Jerry Wayne Underwood; her children, Candace Calhoun and Casey Calhoun (Jessica), of South Carolina; her stepchildren, Craig Calhoun, of Texas, Jody Gregory (Ronnie), of Tennessee, Chris Underwood (Tammie) and Cory Underwood, of Glasgow; two grandchildren, Cooper and Cason Calhoun, of South Carolina; step-grandchildren, Taylor Gregory and Clinton Neal; her brother, Murrell Graves (Gertie), of Campbellsville; her nieces and nephews, Kelly Gritton (Brian), parents of Samuel and Gabriel Gritton, of Lexington and Kyle Graves (Lauren), parents of Mason Graves, of Tennessee; sisters-in-law, Carolyn Underwood Norris and Donella Underwood Bowles; and her best friend, Micki Weaver Froggett.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Marvin Calhoun; and family friend, Jesse Froggett.

Funeral services will be 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 24, at First United Methodist Church with burial in Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home and Thursday morning until 10 a.m. Then visitation will continue at First United Methodist Church from 11 a.m. until time for the service.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of memorial contributions to First United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, 500 South Green St., Glasgow, Ky. 42141.
