Gregory Wilson Carver
SCOTTSVILLE – Gregory Wilson Carver, 63, died Friday, Dec. 28, 2012, at Hospice of Southern Kentucky in Bowling Green after a lengthy illness.
Greg, a life-long resident of Scottsville, was preceded in death by his parents, Wilson and Jessie Carver. He is survived by two daughters, Magan Carver of Lexington, and Katy Martin and husband, Robert, two grandchildren, Alex and Nate Martin, all of White House, Tenn.; one sister, Dr. Vivien Carver of Hattiesburg, Miss.; and one aunt, Clydie Salvadore of Lithonia, Ga.
Funeral services were conducted Sunday, Dec. 30, at 2 p.m. at Strode Funeral Home in Scottsville with burial in Crescent Hill Cemetery. Visitation was 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday and after 7:30 a.m. Sunday until time for service at 2 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be sent to Hospice of Southern Kentucky, 5872 Scottsville Road, Bowling Green, KY.
Dartha Harlow Dennis
GLASGOW – Dartha Harlow Dennis, 87, of Glasgow, died Sunday Dec. 30, 2012, at her home.
Arrangements are incomplete, but are under the direction of A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home.
Julia Anna Johnson
SMITHS GROVE – Julia Anna Johnson, 84, of Smiths Grove, died Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012, at her residence.
She was the daughter of the late Gilbert T. Britt and Etheline Snoddy Britt and wife of the late Charles Johnson.
Funeral service was 2 p.m. Sunday at Oak Forest Baptist Church with burial in Merry Oaks Cemetery. Visitation was 3 to 8 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. to noon Sunday.
Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Bowling Green, was in charge of the arrangements.
Norman Dean Taylor
SMITHS GROVE – Norman Dean Taylor, 57, of Smiths Grove died Friday, Dec. 28, 2012, at his residence.
Born in Columbus, Ind., he was the son of the late Hezzie Frank Taylor and Mary Helen Taylor Brownfield of Glasgow who survives.
In addition to his mother, survivors include a son, Michael Taylor of Edmonton; three sisters, Barbara Jo Houchens (Donald) of Smiths Grove, Ludema Bowles (special friend Joe Lopez) of Glasgow, and Teresa Kingrey (Eugene) of Elizabethtown; a brother, Mark Taylor (Carol) of Glasgow; and two grandsons.
Graveside services will be 12 p.m. Monday, Dec. 31, 2012, at New Salem Cemetery. A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
GLASGOW — Elizabeth Ann Jackson, 64, of Glasgow, died Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012, at her home. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation is in progress at the funeral home.
