GLASGOW — William Foster Doolin, 87, of Glasgow, died Wednesday, April 16, 2014, at T. J. Samson Community Hospital.
He was born in Fountain Run, the son of the late John Lee and Annie Bewley Doolin.
Mr. Doolin was a Korean War veteran, a self-employed carpenter and farmer and was a member of Combs Lane United Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Nell; three daughters, Karen McClellan (Joe) ,of Fountain Run, Sharon Kramer (Dale), of Simpsonville and Christy Ballard (Patrick), of Knob Lick; a step-daughter, Carolyn Sue Johnson (Dennis), of Glasgow; eight grandchildren, Michael McClellan, Katie Fussenegger (Joe), Lucas Kramer, Hunter Ballard, Shane Ballard, Josh Fields, Jacob Fields and Sarah Johnson; three great-grandchildren, Sophie Fussenegger, Jackson Richards and Parker Garrison; his beloved dog Daisy and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Juanita; three brothers, Charlie, Jim and Obadiah Doolin and four sisters, Donnie Hogue, Dora Bridges, Fanny M. Cherry and Annie J. Hunt.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, April 19, at A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Fountain Run Cemetery. Visitation will begin at noon Friday.
