GLASGOW — Janie K. ‘Katie’ Barlow

LOUISVILLE – Janie K. “Katie” Barlow, passed away Saturday, June 8, 2013.

She was a member of Greater Saint Mark Baptist Church.

Left to cherish her memories are her children; Louvonia Barlow, Lisa Clarkston and Tamara Barlow-Hickman; and her fiance´, John Brown.

Visitation Friday at Greater Saint Mark Baptist Church,1425 Bland Street, Louisville from 6 to 9 p.m. and on Saturday from 12 to 1 p.m. CST at First Baptist Church, Glasgow.

Funeral service will be 1 p.m. CST Saturday at First Baptist Church, 611 South Lewis St., Glasgow.

Arrangements by G.C. Williams Funeral Home, in Louisville.

Roy Eugene Combs

GLASGOW – Roy Eugene Combs, 63, of Glasgow, passed away, Sunday, June 10, 2013, at his home.

He was retired from Ford Motor Company, UAW 862. He belonged to the Glasgow Model Airplane R.C. Club and the Seed of Abraham Christian Motorcycle Club.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Combs, his parents, Roy and Juanita Combs.

He is survived by a son, John T. (Loretta) Combs, Glasgow; grandchildren, Teacia Combs, Kelly Combs, William Dalton Jr., Angela R. Dalton and “Baby” John T. Combs; great-grandchildren, Bentley Dean Pullian and Jaylen Hill; his step-mother-in-law, Rose Mueller, Clarksville, Ind.

Visitation will be conducted at Garr Funeral Home, Sellersburg, Ind., Thursday, noon until 8 p.m. and Friday, noon until 4 p.m. with memorial service to follow at 4 p.m. Cremation was chosen by the family.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.


Agnes Marie (Dyer) Ford

FOUNTAIN RUN – Agnes Marie (Dyer) Ford,  92, of Fountain Run, died Monday, June 10, 2013, at her residence.

She was the daughter of the late David Clark Dyer and Nannie Lee Ford

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl “Dink” Ford.

Graveside service and interment was conducted at 4 p.m., Tuesday, June 11, at Akersville Cemetery in Monroe County. There was no visitation at the funeral home.

Fountain Run Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Jessie Key

LAFAYETTE, Tenn. – Jessie Key, 87, of Lafayette, Tenn., formerly of Monroe County, died Tuesday, June 11, 2013, at his residence.

He is survived by his wife, Molvie Nealy Key, of Lafayette.

He was the son of the late Jackson Key and Lillie Cross Key.

Visitation will be after 10 a.m. Thursday, June 13, at Strode’s Gamaliel Chapel in Gamaliel.

Funeral service will be Thursday, June 13, 2013 at 2 p.m., at the funeral home, with burial in Rocky Hill Cemetery in Monroe County.

Georgia Lorraine Myatt

GLASGOW – Georgia Lorraine Myatt, 83, of Glasgow, died Wednesday, June 12, 2013, at her residence.

Born in Tompkinsville, she was the daughter of the late Dewey and Alta Blythe Head and wife of the late George Kenneth Myatt. Mrs. Myatt was a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Monroe County and was retired from T.J. Samson Community Hospital where she had worked in the dietary department.

Survivors include five sons, Jerry K. Myatt and wife Deborah, of Alvaton, Jimmy Myatt and wife Loarrine, of Glasgow, Julius Myatt and wife Teresa, of Glasgow, Davy R. Myatt and wife Teresa, of Bowling Green, and Garry Myatt and wife Sandra, of Glasgow; three sisters, Eva Bryant and Isa Helen Richardson, both of Indianapolis, Ind., and Cecil Brown, of Tompkinsville; three brothers, Paul Head and Jackie Head, both Tompkinsville, and J.D. Head, of Indianapolis, Ind.; 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded by a son, Jeff Myatt; two brothers, Edward and Tommy Head; and a sister, Betty Butler.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, June 14, 2013, at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Harlan’s Crossroads Cemetery. Visitation will be after 5 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.


TOMPKINSVILLE – Robert Allen Myers, 48, of Tompkinsville, died Tuesday, June 11, 2013, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow. Funeral service will be noon Thursday at Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville with burial in Ebenezer Cemetery in Monroe County.


EDMONTON – Howard Webb, 66, of Edmonton, died Wednesday, June 5, 2013, at his residence in Edmonton. Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Dorsey Chapel. Arrangements are being handled by Brooks Funeral Home, Munfordville.
