Wilma Joyce Graham Cleveland
GLASGOW – Wilma Joyce Graham Cleveland, 69, Glasgow, died Saturday, June 15, 2013, at SKY Rehabilitation Center in Bowling Green.
A native of Barren County, she was a daughter of the late Andrew Daniel and Janie Letha Huff Graham, and a homemaker.
Survivors include four children, Flava Paul Poore, William Ralph Graham, Steven Jason Graham and his wife Crissy, and Adrian Graham, all of Glasgow; six grandchildren, Chase Graham, Levi Poore, Alston Poore, Drew Martin, Christina Poore, and Corey Poore; one brother, Wayne Graham.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Jerry Glen Poore and Daniel Wayne Poore; one granddaughter, Tara Gail Finn; one brother, James Graham; one sister, Lela Elizabeth Graham.
Funeral services will be 7 p.m. Wednesday at Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with cremation to follow. Visitation will be after 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
LOUISVILLE – Verlon Gosser, 87, died Friday, June 14, 2013, at Norton Hosparus Inpatient Unit.
He was the owner and operator of Allpest Chemical Company, operating in four Kentucky cities. He loved his country and community, demonstrated by his active involvement: He served in the 2nd Marine Division, World War II, Asiatic Theater, he was a past Potentate of Kosair Shrine Temple, a member of the Provost unit, a former board member of Kosair Charities, charter member, Paul Harris fellow, and past president of South Louisville Rotary club, charter member and past president of the Sertoma Club, a member of Louisville #400 Masonic Lodge, Valley of Louisville Scottish Rite (33 degree), charter member and past president of the Kentucky Pest Control Association, volunteer Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department, Selective Service Draft Board and past president of the Cloverleaf Neighborhood Association and a member of Cloverleaf Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Guy and Bessie Gosser; brothers, Oscar, Clyde, Everett, and Billy Gosser; and sisters, Lulabelle Jones and Janice Sheffield.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 66 years, Margaret (Smith) Gosser; his brother, Howard Gosser, his daughters, Glenda and Judy (Scott); and twin sons, Johnny (Denise) and Donnie (Kathy). He had 10 grandchildren, Michelle, Michael, Patrick, Sarah, Joey, Shaun, Amanda, Daniel, Thomas, and Lillee; five great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, June 18, 2013, at noon at Cloverleaf Baptist Church, 4401 Manslick Road, with burial in Bethany Cemetery. Visitation will be at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway, Monday, June 17, 2013, from noon till 8 p.m. and Tuesday after 10 a.m. at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Kosair Charities. The Gosser family would like to thank Hosparus and Treyton Oak Towers for all the support and care.
Jack Morris Pedigo
EDMONTON – Jack Morris Pedigo, 88, of Edmonton, died Sunday, June 16, 2013, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow.
He was the son of the late E.B. Pedigo and Tina Smith Pedigo. Jack was a farmer and retired from the Metcalfe County School system where he taught agriculture for more than 30 years. He served in the United States Navy during World War II and was a member of Missionary Mound Baptist Church. He was also a member of the VFW, American Legion and retired teachers association.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Butler Funeral Home with burial in Missionary Mound Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m. Tuesday and after 9 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
He is survived by one brother, Billy Pedigo, of Edmonton; a niece, Ann Pedigo, of Bethel, Ohio; a nephew, Mike Pedigo and wife Roberta, of Edmonton; two great-nephews, Seth and Nicholas Pedigo and a great-niece, Sarah Pedigo, of Edmonton. He is also survived by a close family friend, Kim Patton.
Annetta Boling Vibbert
GLASGOW – Annetta Boling Vibbert, 72, of Glasgow, died Friday, June 14, 2013, at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville.
A native of Hawesville, she was a daughter of the late Lenard and Naomi Alvey Boling. She was a retired librarian at Park City School, a member of Immanuel Baptist Church, and a member of the Southern Kentucky Choral Society.
Survivors include her fiancé Sam Bodine, of Glasgow; four children, Justina Vibbert Miller and husband E.J., Mikell Paul Vibbert and wife Katherine, Kenneth Ray Vibbert and wife Jane, and Charlotte Vibbert; five grandchildren, Lori Austin, Travis Vibbert, Andrew Vibbert, Sarah De la Torre, and Annetta Jo Smith; two brothers, Larry Boling and Ernest Boling; four sisters, Delores Trogdon, Wanda Greenwood, Nina Cambron and Cheryl Trunnell; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Charlie Vibbert; one brother, Lenard Alton Boling; one sister, Judith Carol Boling.
Funeral services were conducted Monday, June 17, at Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home. Burial was in Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Alternate expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Immanuel Baptist Church.
Ronnie L. Williams
GLASGOW – Ronnie L. Williams, 73, of Glasgow, died Friday, June 14, 2013, at Norton Hospital.
He was a native of Hardin County and a realtor broker/auctioneer. He was also a wholesale/importer and formerly worked for Holland Dairy. He was an avid golfer and a member of Severns Valley Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by parents, Opal Paul Williams and Minnie Frances Miller Alt.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Letha Mae Pierce Williams; two sons, Rodney (Melissa) Williams, of Cave City and Jeffrey (Jamie) Williams, of Glasgow; four grandchildren, Rodney Kalen Williams Jr., Skylar Jeffrey Williams, Jackson Paul Williams and Julia Pierce Williams.
The funeral will be 11 a.m. EDT Tuesday at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown, with Revs. Randy Scott and Steve Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens.
Visitation is in progress and will continue after 9 a.m. EDT Tuesday at the funeral home.
