GLASGOW — Jesse J. Goodhue

LOUISVILLE – Jesse J. Goodhue, 77, of Louisville, died Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2013, at Baptist Healthcare in Louisville.

He was the ninth and last surviving child of 10 children born to the late Alexander and Vivian Kinser Goodhue.

Funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 17, in the chapel of Winn Funeral Home with burial in Horse Cave Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will begin at noon on Sunday at the funeral home.

Opha Bea Wilson Laporte

BRYAN, Texas – Opha Bea Wilson Laporte, 89, died Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2013, at her home in Bryan, Texas.

She was born in Glasgow, the daughter of the late L.R. and Ellie Welch Wilson.

Surviving are four daughters and four grandchildren. Locally, she is survived by two brothers, George and Joel Wilson, of Glasgow.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Marcel Laporte; two sisters, Honor Moore and Imogene Sharp; and by two brothers, Earl and Raymond Wilson.

Graveside services will be conducted in Bryan.

Ruby Mae Wilson

SULPHUR WELL – Ruby Mae Wilson, 73, of Sulphur Well, died Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2013, at U of L Hospital in Louisville.

She was the daughter of the late Rollin and Lucille Blaydes Whitlock. She was a retired cook at North Metcalfe Elementary School.   

She is survived by three children, Garry (wife Pam) Rock, of Center, Kevin (wife Penny) Wilson, of Glasgow, and Beverly (husband Rick) Whitlock, of Mulberry, Ind.; three grandchildren, Scott (wife Starla) Whitlock, of Franklin, Ind., Jennifer (husband Jesse) Suite, Franklin, Ind., and Brittany (husband Kevin) Bryant, of Clarksville, Tenn.; two step-grandchildren, Jordon and Andy Piper; five great-grandchildren, Kaylyn and Linda Whitlock, Kaedyn and Konner Suite and Rylee Bryant.  Several nieces and nephews also survive.   

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Russell, and one sister, Eleanor Perry.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton with burial in Bowles Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 4:30 until 8 p.m. Thursday and after 9 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
