Tammy Lynn Branham
SUMMER SHADE – Tammy Lynn Branham, 46, of Summer Shade, died Wednesday, April 17, at her home.
She was a homemaker and a daughter of the late Freeman Branham and Anna Lee Dubree Branham Welsh. She was a member of Summer Shade Baptist Church.
She is survived by a brother, Greg Branham, and one sister, Becky Dubree, both of Summer Shade; four nieces, Terran Pedigo and Candice Branham, both of Summer Shade, April Brown, of Temple Hill, and Hallie Branham, of Edmonton; a great-niece, Kimber Ann Branham, of Temple Hill; three aunts, Betty (Kenneth) Wilkerson, of Tompkinsville, Emogene Faith, of Louisville, and Bessie Holmes, of Glasgow; two very special friends, Tonya Wilkerson, of Glasgow, and Robin Jones, of Center; and several local cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be Saturday, April 20, at 1 p.m. at McMurtrey Funeral Home with Brother Chad White officiating. Burial will follow in Summer Shade Cemetery. Visitation will begin Friday, April 19, at 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
John P. Branstetter
HORSE CAVE – John P. Branstetter, 95, of Horse Cave, passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2013, at Hart County Health Care Center.
He was a native of Barren County, the retired owner of Branstetter Hardware and a long-time member, deacon and Sunday School teacher at Horse Cave Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie Branstetter and Ermie Mae Billingsley Branstetter, his wife, Beatrice Tharp Branstetter in May of 2011, a son, Dr. Larry Branstetter, granddaughter, Jana Lyn Branstetter, an infant sister, Katie, and by four brothers, B. G., Emmitt, Woody and Jewell Branstetter.
He is survived by five sons, Lanny Gene Branstetter and his wife Dana, of Horse Cave, Donald Ray Branstetter & his wife Judith, of Tallahassee Fla., Michael Glee Branstetter and his wife Laurie, of Glasgow, Dr. John Allen Branstetter and his wife Susan, of Jasper, Ala., and Mark Steven Branstetter and his wife Janie, of Lynn Haven, Fla.; 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Flo Karl, of Staten Island, N.Y., and Zola Jaggers and her husband James, of Glasgow, two sisters-in-law, Mary W. Branstetter and Jean Tharp, both of Munfordville and by a brother-in-law, Leon Tharp, also of Munfordville. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 20, 2013, at the Horse Cave Baptist Church under direction of Winn Funeral Home of Horse Cave. Burial will follow in the Horse Cave Municipal Cemetery. Visitation at Winn Funeral Home from 5 until 9 p.m. on Friday and after 9 a.m. until funeral time on Saturday at the Church.
