GLASGOW — Violet A. Forrest
GLASGOW – Violet A. Forrest, 85, of Glasgow, died Friday, Feb. 7, 2014, at NHC Healthcare in Glasgow. She was the daughter of the late Bert and Viola Richey Copas and wife of the late Lyron Forrest. Mrs. Forrest was a seamstress at Handmacher for 40 years and was a member of Glasgow Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her great-grandson.
Survivors include her granddaughter, Kim Landrum and husband Bobby, of Glasgow; a great-grandson, Chase Landrum, of Glasgow; a sister, Willodean DeYoung, of Franklin; two brothers, Franklin Copas and Danny Copas, both of Bowling Green and two brothers-in-law, Wendell (Patsy) Forrest, of Louisville and Carl (Rebecca) Forrest, of Glasgow. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Brenda Owen; a son, Steve Forrest; five sisters, Iva Haynes, Virginia Lowe, Annis Cole, Doris Copas and Hilda Glass and two brothers, Bert Dartin Copas and Clinton Copas.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 9, at A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. Saturday.
