GLASGOW — A.C. Bridges

TOMPKINSVILLE – A.C. Bridges, 80, of Tompkinsville, died Monday, Feb. 3, at The Palace in Red Boiling Springs, Tenn.

A.C. was born in Monroe County, on July 1, 1933, a son of the late Mrytie (Young) and Bee Bridges.

On July 16, 1962, in Clay County, Tenn., he married Elsie (Warren) Bridges, who preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 5, at Yokley Trible Funeral Home in Tompkinsville. Visitation is Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mount Poland Cemetery.

 

James Curtis ‘Jimmy Curt’ Duncan

EDMONTON – James Curtis “Jimmy Curt” Duncan, 75, of Edmonton, died Monday, Feb. 3, 2014, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow.  

He was the son of the late Archie and Kizzie Bell Duncan.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rena Belle Whitlow Duncan.   

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Butler Funeral Home with burial in Edmonton Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m. Thursday and after 9 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.      

 

Modena Ford

GAMALIEL – Modena Ford, 95, of Gamaliel, died Monday, Feb. 3, 2014, at Monroe Health & Rehab in Tompkinsville

She was the daughter of the late John Ford and Loretta Copas Ford.

Visitation will begin after 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 5, and after 7:30 a.m. on Thursday until time of service at Strode’s Gamaliel Chapel in Gamaliel.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 6,  at the funeral home, followed by burial in Gamaliel Cemetery in Gamaliel.

Memorials are suggested to Gamaliel Cemetery.

GAMALIEL – Sandra Kaye McCue Ford, of Gamaliel, died Sunday, Feb. 2, 2014, at her home in Gamaliel. Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Strode’s Gamaliel Chapel in Gamaliel followed by burial in Gamaliel Cemetery.

HORSE CAVE – Lovie Nell Mouser, 89, of Horse Cave, died Friday, Jan. 31, 2014, at her home.

Funeral services will be  11 a.m. Friday in the chapel of Winn Funeral Home with burial to follow in Horse Cave Municipal Cemetery.   

BROWNSVILLE – Penny Pedigo, 37, of Brownsville, died Saturday, Feb. 1, 2014, at Hospice House of Southern Ky. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Sego Funeral Home. Burial will be in Lambert Cemetery in Edmonson County.

GLASGOW – Inis Josephine Shirley, 97, of Glasgow, died Sunday, Feb. 2, 2014, at her home. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Prices Creek Missionary Baptist Church with burial in Bragg Cemetery.
