Mae C. Alexander
SMITHS GROVE – Mae C. Alexander, 97, of Smiths Grove, died Wednesday, July 10, 2013, at Edmonson Health & Rehab.
She was the daughter of the late Bill and Fannie Madison Campbell and wife of the late Raymon H. Alexander.
Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Monday at Rocky Hill Cemetery with burial in Rocky Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hardy & Son Funeral Home, 3098 Louisville Road, Bowling Green, KY 42101, to help with funeral expenses.
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Thelma Jones, 92, of Indianapolis, formerly of Monroe County, died July 10, 2013.
She was born on Nov. 7, 1920, in Monroe County to William and Orpha Hoffman.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Malcolm Jones.
Visitation will be Saturday from noon until 2 p.m. at Yokley-Trible Funeral Home, 510 Fourth St., Tompkinsville. A funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Monroe County Memorial Lawn Cemetery, Tompkinsville.

Robert Timothy (Tim) Lewis
DALLAS, Ga. – Robert Timothy (Tim) Lewis, 52, of Dallas, Ga., formerly of Smiths Grove, died Sunday, July 7, 2013, in Bartow County, Ga., from injuries sustained in a boating accident on Altoona Lake.
He was the son of the late Robert Leon Lewis and Brenda Richey Belcher and husband Gerald, who survives. He was the husband of Darla Pizzolato Lewis, who survives.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Hardy & Son Funeral Home Smiths Grove Chapel.
Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
Visitation will be 1 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Carl H. McFarland
LOUISVILLE – Carl H. McFarland, 88, passed away Tuesday, July 9, 2013, at Signature Health Care in Louisville.
He was formerly of Glasgow, where he had worked as a farmer and businessman until retirement. He enjoyed many afternoons at Durham's Barber Shop where he was known for his skills at checkers.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Lula McFarland, of Jamestown; brothers, Rue, Cecil, John and Preston McFarland; sister, Mary McFarland Dennis; and daughter, Sandra McFarland Young.
He is survived by sons, David, Gary, Kenny, Dean, Larry and Jim McFarland and their families.
A private memorial service will be conducted for the family.
Harold D. Rector
BOWLING GREEN – Harold D. Rector, 88, of Bowling Green, died Wednesday, July 10, 2013, at Hospice House of Southern Kentucky.
He was the son of the late Clifton and Venus Cox Rector and husband of the late Ann Martin Rector.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, at Hardy & Son Funeral Home Bowling Green Chapel with burial in Smiths Grove Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Paul Huston Sears
HORSE CAVE – Paul Huston Sears, 63, of Horse Cave, died Sunday, July 7, 2013 at T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow.
He was a member of First Baptist Church in Horse Cave where he served on the Deacon Board and as Church Treasurer. He was a former member of the Horse Cave City Council and the Horse Cave Police Department. He was a member of the Hart County Lions Club.
He is survived by his wife, Rozetta Sears of Horse Cave; two sons, Jamaal Sears and DeWayne Sears, both of Horse Cave; three daughters, Felicia Browne (Thomas) of Nashville, TN, Rosalind Boyd of Bowling Green and Frederica Foster (Keith) of Louisville; seven grandchildren, DeMarcus Boyd, DarTanya Boyd, Kyran Foster, Alexus Sears, Nya Browne, Elijah Browne and Kaliya Sears; a sister, Dave Etta Crenshaw (Dewey), of Horse Cave; two nephews, Ronald Maxey, of Frankfort, and Johnny Sears, Nashville, TN.; three nieces, Shirley Maxey and JoAnn Maxey, both of Munfordville, and Janice Maxey of Elizabethtown.
The funeral will be 1 p.m. CST Saturday, July 13, 2013, at Friendship Baptist Church in Horse Cave with burial to follow in Pleasant Oak Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery in Cave City.
Visitation at the church after 5 p.m. Friday. Watts & Percell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
AUSTIN – Carl E. Eaton, 81, of Austin, died Tuesday, July 9, 2013. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Glasgow Municipal Cemetery.
FOUNTAIN RUN – Roger Glenn Mansfield, 51, of Fountain Run, died Tuesday, July 9, 2013, at his residence in Fountain Run. Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Fountain Run Funeral Home with burial in Chestnut Point Cemetery in Allen County.
HENDERSON, Nev. – Gladys L. O’Byrn, 83, of Henderson, Nev., died Monday, June 3, 2013. A memorial service will be conducted Saturday, July 20, from 1 to 4 p.m. at Saint Helen Parish Center, 230 Cavalry Drive, Glasgow. Alternate expressions of sympathy may be made to Saint Helen Catholic Church, 103 West Brown St., Glasgow, KY 42141.
CAVE CITY – Nora Elizabeth Parker, 97, of Cave City, died Tuesday, July 9, 2013, in Horse Cave. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Patton Funeral Home Park City Chapel with burial in Cave City Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Cave City Baptist Church for Missionary Works, Mrs. Fern Ferrell, treasurer.
