Mae C. Alexander
SMITHS GROVE – Mae C. Alexander, 97, of Smiths Grove, died Wednesday, July 10, 2013, at Edmonson Health & Rehab.
She was the daughter of the late Bill and Fannie Madison Campbell and wife of the late Raymon H. Alexander.
Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Monday at Rocky Hill Cemetery with burial in Rocky Hill Cemetery.

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Thelma Jones, 92, of Indianapolis, formerly of Monroe County, died July 10, 2013.
She was born on Nov. 7, 1920, in Monroe County to William and Orpha Hoffman.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Malcolm Jones.
Visitation will be Saturday from noon until 2 p.m. at Yokley-Trible Funeral Home, 510 Fourth St., Tompkinsville. A funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Monroe County Memorial Lawn Cemetery, Tompkinsville.

Robert Timothy (Tim) Lewis
DALLAS, Ga. – Robert Timothy (Tim) Lewis, 52, of Dallas, Ga., formerly of Smiths Grove, died Sunday, July 7, 2013, in Bartow County, Ga., from injuries sustained in a boating accident on Altoona Lake.
He was the son of the late Robert Leon Lewis and Brenda Richey Belcher and husband Gerald, who survives. He was the husband of Darla Pizzolato Lewis, who survives.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Hardy & Son Funeral Home Smiths Grove Chapel.
Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
Visitation will be 1 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Carl H. McFarland
LOUISVILLE – Carl H. McFarland, 88, passed away Tuesday, July 9, 2013, at Signature Health Care in Louisville.
He was formerly of Glasgow, where he had worked as a farmer and businessman until retirement. He enjoyed many afternoons at Durham's Barber Shop where he was known for his skills at checkers.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Lula McFarland, of Jamestown; brothers, Rue, Cecil, John and Preston McFarland; sister, Mary McFarland Dennis; and daughter, Sandra McFarland Young.
He is survived by sons, David, Gary, Kenny, Dean, Larry and Jim McFarland and their families.
A private memorial service will be conducted for the family.
Harold D. Rector
BOWLING GREEN – Harold D. Rector, 88, of Bowling Green, died Wednesday, July 10, 2013, at Hospice House of Southern Kentucky.
He was the son of the late Clifton and Venus Cox Rector and husband of the late Ann Martin Rector.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, at Hardy & Son Funeral Home Bowling Green Chapel with burial in Smiths Grove Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
