GLASGOW — Agnes Merlene Botts Walker

GLASGOW – Agnes Merlene Botts Walker, 96, of Glasgow, died Friday, July 5, 2013, at NHC Healthcare in Glasgow.

She was the daughter of the late Earl and Annie Mae Cox Botts and the wife of the late Johnie E. Walker. Mrs. Walker was a member of New Salem United Methodist Church and she was named the Barren County Democratic Woman of the Year in 1983.

She is survived by one son, Botts Walker and wife Gaye, of Glasgow; one daughter, Carolyn Strader and husband Woody, of Hiseville; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grand-children; one sister, Earline Turner and husband Clay; one brother, Roger Botts; one sister-in-law, Louise Botts, all of Glasgow; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a son, Bobby Walker; and three brothers, John, Norris and Lawrence Botts.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, July 8, 2013, at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in New Salem Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. Sunday.

Alternate expressions of sympathy may take the form of memorial contributions to the New Salem Cemetery.

MUNFORDVILLE — Mayme Margaret Logsdon, 85, of Munfordville, died Wednesday, July 3, 2013, at her home. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of Sego Funeral Home. Burial will be in Munfordville Municipal Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Hart County Relay for Life.

 

BOWLING GREEN – William Samuel Morton Napier, 95, of Bowling Green, died Monday July 1, 2013, at Hospice of Southern Kentucky. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at J.C. Kirby and Son Lovers Lane Chapel. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery #1. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Hospice of Southern Kentucky, Inc., 5872 Scottsville Road, Bowling Green, KY 42104.
