SMITHS GROVE — Patty J. Johnson Bennett, 61, of Smiths Grove, died Thursday, April 17, 2014, at her residence.
Born in Edmonton, she was the daughter of the late Murell Odell Bennett and Emma Dean Moore.
She was a former employee of Britthaven Nursing Home in Bowling Green, and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include her fiancé, Wayne Simpson, of Franklin; a daughter, Jessica Xaysana and husband Phone, of Bowling Green; a son, Buddy Johnson and wife Angela, of Smiths Grove; five grandchildren, Janah Sowders, Theebay Xaysana, Dustin Johnson, Dalton Johnson and Jessie Johnson; a great-grandson, Braden Johnson; seven sisters, Mary Stinnett, of Bowling Green, Sherry Hopkins, of Oakland, Lori Morgan and husband Ray, of Woodburn, Lannie Jones, of Tennessee, Loretta Butler and husband James, of Tennessee, Sue Mutter and husband Mike, of Glasgow and Beverly Hatfield and husband Arthur, of Glasgow; a brother, Andy Jones and wife Jennifer, of Smiths Grove; a half-brother, Lee Bennett, of Bowling Green; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends also survive.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Kelly O’dell Johnson, a brother, Tommy Bennett and grandparents Homer and Blanche Yates Bennett, Clifford Moore and Mary Brown Turner.
Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Monday, April 21, at A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with cremation to follow the services.
Visitation will be after 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
