GLASGOW — Jerry Ray McPeak

SCOTTSVILLE – Jerry Ray McPeak, 59, of Scottsville, died at 12:22 a.m. Monday, Sept. 24, 2012, at the V.A. Medical Center in Nashville, Tenn.  

The Scottsville native was a former employee of Nissan and Peterbilt, former mail carrier, a U.S. Army veteran where he served in Korea, a member of Samson Street Church of God, Kentucky Army National Guard and life-time member of Halfrey Dalton V.F.W. Post 5712.  

He was a son of the late Rev. Lee Roby McPeak and Genie Louise Shockley McPeak.

He is survived by one son: Brian Neal McPeak and wife, Heather, of Scottsville; two daughters: Marsha Carter and husband, Rev. Jeremy, of Scottsville; and Pamela J. Taylor and fiance’, Mike King, of Bowling Green; two brothers: Donald McPeak, of Adolphus, and Dennis McPeak and wife, Marcella, of Scottsville; four sisters: his twin sister, Judy Bessinger, of Hendersonville, Tenn., Joyce Iovino and husband, Jeff, Panama City Beach, Fla., Barbara Simons, of Bethpage, Tenn., and Nancy Wood, of Hendersonville, Tenn.; and seven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one son: Terry Ray McPeak.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26, at Goad Funeral Home with Brother Jeremy Carter and Brother Roger Kinslow officiating and burial in Crescent Hill Cemetery with military honors by Glasgow D.A.V. Chapter 20.  Visitation will be after 1 p.m. Tuesday at Goad Funeral Home.

Glenda White

HARDYVILLE – Glenda White, 48, of Hardyville, died Monday, Sept. 24, 2012, at Glasgow Health & Rehabilitation in Glasgow.

She was the daughter of Kenneth “Chunk” White, of Hardyville, and Shirley Lile, of Hoopeston, Ill.

Arrangements are being handled by Brooks Funeral Home, Munfordville, where the family will receive friends from 3 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Hardyville.
