Danny Wayne Davis
GLASGOW – Danny Wayne Davis, 61, of Glasgow, died Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2013, at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, Tenn.
Mr. Davis was the son of the late Russell W. Davis and Gleneth Faye Nunn Ogles, of Glasgow, who survives. He was a truck driver for Pace Ready Mix.
In addition to his mother, survivors include a special friend, Peggy Walden, of Hiseville; one daughter, Michelle Davis and fiancé Timmy Jackson, of Glasgow; one brother, Larry “Wimpy” Davis, of Glasgow; three sisters, Patsy Tuck and husband Dennis, of Glasgow, Janice Fields and husband Robert, of Glasgow, Marcella Thurman and husband Donnie Sr., of Glasgow; one uncle, Kenneth Nunn, of Glasgow; three stepbrothers, William Ogles and wife Maxine, Bobby Ogles and wife Betsy, all of Glasgow, Gerald Ogles and wife Sandra, of Franklin; one stepsister, Betty Raines and husband Johnny, of Franklin; former wife, Rita Davis, of Green Valley, Ariz.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Willie Ogles and stepmother, Lillie Davis.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 18, at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be after 5 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Dwight ‘David’ Dennis
MUNFORDVILLE– Dwight “David” Dennis, 51, of Munfordville, died Monday, Oct. 14, 2013, at his residence in Munfordville.
He was the son of the late Joe Dennis and Pearline Sanders Dennis, of Munfordville, who survives.
He is also survived by his wife, Anita Talley Dennis.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Brooks Funeral Home and from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday at Pleasant View United Baptist Church. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at the church. Interment will be at Pleasant View Cemetery, Munfordville.
Wilbur G. Gilley
WISDOM – Wilbur G. Gilley, 87, of the Wisdom community of Metcalfe County passed away Monday, Oct. 14, 2013, at Metcalfe Health Care in Edmonton.
He was the son of the late Herman and Mattie Faulkner Gilley. Wilbur was a retired teacher and former superintendent for the Metcalfe County School System. He was a member of Dripping Springs Baptist Church.
He is survived by two children; a son, Kerry Gilley, and a daughter, Patricia and husband William Robert Druen, all of Edmonton; one grandson, William Thomas and wife Erin Druen, of Georgetown; one great-grandson, William Asher Druen; one brother, H.G. and wife Drucella Gilley, of Edmonton.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Maxine Compton Gilley, and two brothers, Paul and Herman Gilley Jr.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton with burial in New Liberty Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m. Wednesday and after 9 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
James Ralph ‘J.R.’ Goode
RADCLIFF –James Ralph "J.R." Goode, 76, of Radcliff, died Monday, Oct.14, 2013, at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown.
He was president of Bass Masters Fishing Club in Radcliff from 1980 until 1989 and a member of the American Legion Post 0113 in Elizabethtown. He coached Babe Ruth League baseball in Radcliff from 1981 to 1982, was a veteran of the Vietnam war, and an avid outdoorsman. He retired from the Army and Civil Service.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Yong Hi Goode.
He is survived by two sons, Douglas L. Goode, of Radcliff, and Robert A. Goode, of Vine Grove; a granddaughter, Alexandra Goode; two sisters, Joanne (Larry) Pitcock, of Bowling Green, and Billie (Bill) Carpenter, of Louisville; two brothers, Donald (Joanne) Goode, of Erin, N.Y., and Douglas (Betty) Goode, of Sevierville, Tenn.
The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Nelson-Edelen-Bennett Funeral Home in Radcliff with Bill Carpenter officiating. Burial will follow in North Hardin Memorial Gardens in Radcliff. Visitation will be at the funeral home in Radcliff on Wednesday from 6 until 8 p.m. and on Thursday after 10 a.m.
Jeffery Michael Hanson
SMITHS GROVE – Jeffery Michael Hanson, 58, of Smiths Grove, died Monday, Oct. 14, 2013, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital.
A native of Albany, Calif., he was a construction worker.
Survivors include his wife, Kathy Goodwin Hanson; one son, Aaron Michael Hanson; one daughter, Katie Rose Hanson Hackworth; his parents, Foster Eugene Hanson and Beverly Lorraine Determan Hanson; three grandsons; one granddaughter; three brothers; and two sisters.
Cremation was chosen. A private service will be conducted at a later date.

NEWBURGH, Ind. – Irene Emerson Chapman, 95, of Newburgh, Ind., formerly of Smiths Grove, died Saturday, Oct. 12, 2013, in Newburgh, Ind. A funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday at Hardy & Son Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Smiths Grove.

COLUMBIA – Donald Richard Thomerson, 71, of Columbia, and formerly of Glasgow, died Sunday, Oct. 13, 2013, at Grandsview Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Campbellsville. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Haven Hill Cemetery in Columbia.
HARDYVILLE – Pauline Thompson, 81, of Hardyville, died Saturday, Oct. 12, 2013, at Hart County Health Care Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Our Lady of the Caves Catholic Church with burial to follow in Horse Cave Municipal Cemetery.
