Ralph Eldon Ferguson
TOMPKINSVILLE - Ralph Eldon Ferguson, 75, died Monday, March 2, 2009, at The Monroe County Medical Center in Tompkinsville.
He was the son of the late William G. Ferguson and the late Annie Ola Pedigo Ferguson.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 4, at 2 p.m. at Mount Gilead Church of Christ with burial in Mount Gilead Cemetery. Visitation will be after 6 p.m. today at Yokley-Trible Funeral Home, Tompkinsville, which is in charge of arrangements.
Velma Frances Christy Hagan
GLASGOW - Velma Frances Christy Hagan, 65, died Monday, March 2, 2009, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital.
Born in Warren County, she was the daughter of the late Freeman and Clydine Mills Christy. Mrs. Hagan was a retired supervisor with GTE and a member of the First Church of the Nazarene.
Survivors include her husband, Bascal Hagan Jr.; one son: Richard Hagan and wife Karen of Glasgow; one daughter: Connie Bratcher and husband Don of Bowling Green; one brother: Larry Christy and wife Ada of Woodburn; two sisters: JoAnn Murphy and husband John of Bowling Green and Margaret Rutledge of Bowling Green; five grandchildren: Brandon, Chelsea and Amanda Hagan, all of Glasgow, and Taylor and Jacob Bratcher, both of Bowling Green.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 4, 2009, at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home, Glasgow, with burial in Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be after 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 3, 2009, at the funeral home.
Jesse Radford (Rat) Hurt
DUBRE - Jesse Radford (Rat) Hurt), 76, died Sunday, March 1, 2009, at Cumberland County Hospital.
He was a retired farmer, the son of the late Otis and Lovie Anderson Hurt and a member of the Living Faith Church of God.
He is survived by his wife, Grace Stephens Hurt; one daughter: Donita Dyer (Johnny Riley) of Burkesville; three stepsons: Malcolm (Judy) Adwell, Kelly (Stacie) Adwell and Scott (Juanita) Adwell, all of Glagsow; one sister: Malinda (Roy) Farlee of Marrowbone; eight step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and eight step-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Blaydelle Hurt; one son, James (Bimbo) Hurt; and one grandson, Brad Moore.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 4, at 3 p.m. at McMurtrey Funeral Home, Summer Shade, with the Rev. Malcolm Adwell officiating. Burial will follow in the Monroe County Memorial Lawn. Visitation is in progress at the funeral home.
Dale Howard Stinson
HORSE CAVE — Dale Howard Stinson, 88, passed away Sunday, March 1, 2009, at his home.
He was a Green County native, a retired U.S. mail carrier from the Hardyville and Canmer post offices, an Air Force veteran of World War II where he received the Asiatic Pacific Campaign Metal and the Distinguished Flying Cross. He was also a member of the Monroe Baptist Church. He was a son of the late Terry Bryan Stinson and Florence Dishman Stinson.
He was also preceded in death by his wife, Orthelia Twyman Stinson; his son-in-law, Paul David Hay; and an infant brother, Kenneth Stinson.
Survivors include a daughter: Del Rita Hay, grandson: Chris Hay, a brother: John T. Stinson and his wife, Dorothy; and a niece: Melaine Stinson, all of Horse Cave; and a nephew: William Terry Stinson of Bowling Green.
Funeral services will be Thursday, March 5, at 2 p.m. at Winn Funeral Home Chapel, Horse Cave, with military rites conducted by Glasgow DAV Chapter 20. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 4, from 2 to 9 p.m. and after 9 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

BONNIEVILLE - Alma L. Walters, 97, died Sunday, March 1, 2009, at Sunrise Manor Nursing Facility in Hodgenville.
She was the daughter of the late Fred and Bertha Srygler Reynolds and wife of the late Earl Walters.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 4, in the chapel of Sego Funeral Home, Munfordville, with burial in Memory Park Cemetery at Bonnieville. Visitation continues until 8 p.m. today and after 8 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home until time for services.
MUNFORDVILLE - Gladys L. Forsythe, 80, died Sunday, March 1, 2009, at Baptist East Hospital in Louisville. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Macedonia United Baptist Church, with interment in Munfordville Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today and 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Brooks Funeral Home, Munfordville, is in charge of arrangements.
