TOMPKINSVILLE — Bobby M. Tooley, 71, of Tompkinsville, passed away Monday, Feb. 24, 2014, at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, Tenn.
Bobby was born in Tompkinsville, on Nov. 8, 1942, a son of the late Atala Tooley.
On Aug.10, 1963, in Livingston, Tenn., he married Arlene (Walker) Tooley, who survives him.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1965 to 1967; he was a Green Beret.
He was the owner of Ross and Tooley Carpet Store.
Bobby is also survived by a daughter, Annette Emmert and her husband, Kent, of Owensboro; two grandchildren, Morgin and Chase Emmert; two brothers, Terry Tooley, of Tompkinsville and Bill Nelson, of Indianapolis, Ind. Bobby is preceded in death by one granddaughter, Kaylee Emmert.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 27, at Yokley Trible Funeral Home. Visitation is Wednesday, Feb. 26, after 4 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Monroe County Memorial Lawn.
