Brother Travis Eugene Robertson

MUNFORDVILLE – Brother Travis Eugene Robertson, 90, of Munfordville, passed away at 9:29 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 23, 2014, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital. He was born in Metcalfe County to the late Bill and Ella Rhinehart Robertson.

Brother Robertson was retired from Ford Motor Company, was a WWII veteran of the U.S. Army, a Kentucky Colonel and a member of the Christ Gospel Apostolic Church where he has pastored since 1968.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Georgia Blaydes Robertson in 1966, and his second wife, Roseleen Bratcher Robertson in 2011, he was also preceded in death by a step-son, Allen Wallace, three grandchildren and one step-grandson.

Bro. Travis Robertson is survived by two sons, Kenneth Robertson, of Indiana, Mike Robertson and wife Judy, of Munfordville; four daughters, Barbara Dunkle and husband Bruce, of Munfordville, Sue Avery and husband Walter, of Greensburg, Faye Byrns and husband Barry, of Corbin, Debbie Thomas and husband Solon, of Munfordville; one step-son, Billy Wallace and wife Sandra, of Indiana; one step-daughter, Ruby James, of Indiana; two brothers, Jimmy Robertson and wife Betty, of Edmonton, Lendon Robertson and Lorene, of Bee Springs; one sister, Doris Wilson, of Indiana; 14 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren and nine step-grandchildren.

A celebration service for Brother Travis Robertson will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Christ Gospel Apostolic Church, 5655 Cub Run Hwy., Munfordville with Brother Brad Davis along with family and friends officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 1 to 9 p.m. and after 8 a.m. Wednesday at Christ Gospel Apostolic Church with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery at Cub Run. Sego Funeral Home is in charge of the services.
