GLASGOW —

Barbara Joyce Scott

OWENSBORO –Barbara Joyce Scott, 79, of Owensboro, (formerly of Hart County), died Thursday, Oct.17, 2013, at her home.

She was born in Hart County. Mrs. Scott was preceded in death by her parents, Ivan H. and Lovie Davidson Gill; and her husband, Rev. Kenneth Scott.

Funeral services were conducted Monday, Oct. 21, 2013, in the chapel of Winn Funeral Home. Burial followed in Rock Cemetery in Metcalfe County.

Expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of contributions to Hospice of Western Kentucky, Owensboro.

Elizabeth Wells

BON AYR –  Elizabeth Wells, 85, of Bon Ayr, died Monday, Oct. 21, 2013, in Glasgow.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete and under the direction of the Patton Funeral Home, Park City Chapel.

William Randall Young

TOMPKINSVILLE – William Randall Young, 73, of Tompkinsville, passed away Sunday, Oct. 20, 2013, at Monroe County Medical Center.

Randall was born in Tompkinsville, on Sept. 26, 1940, a son of the late Florida Mae (Shaw) and Marvin Young. He was a member of Mount Poland Baptist Church and he worked as a carpenter. He also served in the U.S. Army.

Randall is survived by the loving mother of their seven children, Margie Hume Young; three daughters, Nichole “Nikki” Renee Young, of Tompkinsville, Amy Michelle Young Myatt, of Glasgow, Jennifer “Jennie” Lynne Young, of Glasgow; four sons, William “Bill” Roger Young, of Tompkinsville, Timothy “Tim” Lynn Young, of Greenfield, Ind., Thomas “Tom” Christopher Young, of Gamaliel, Robert “Bobby” Matthew Young, of Glasgow; five sisters, Rosie Davis, of Indianapolis, Ind., Runnell Sexton, of Greenwood, Ind., Ruby Worley, of Greenwood, Ind., Becky Gibson, of Glasgow, and Rita Sue Walker, of Tompkinsville; a brother, Royce Young, of Glasgow; 16 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, also survive.

Funeral services will be noon Wednesday, Oct. 22, at Yokley Trible Funeral Home.

Visitation will be after 2 p.m. on Tuesday.

Burial will be in Bailey Cemetery. Military honors will be preformed by Glasgow DAV Chapter 20.

SERVICE

CENTERTON, Ind. – Donald E. Bowles, 70, Centerton, died Oct. 17, 2013, as a result of injuries sustained in a car accident.

The funeral service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday in Carlisle at Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville, Ind.

Cremation will follow services at Morgan County Crematory.

Memorial contributions may be made to Multiple Sclerosis Society.
