Horace Paul Billingsley
GLASGOW – Horace Paul Billingsley, 88, of Glasgow, died Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2013, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow.
He was born in the Kino community of Barren County, the son of the late Onie and Millie Slaton Billingsley. Mr. Billingsley was a milk hauler for Carnation Dairy for 27 years, a farmer and avid horse lover.
Survivors include two daughters, Karen Sue Emberton and husband Jim, of Versailles, and Kathy Barrick and husband Jimmy, of Glasgow; three sons, Jerry Paul Billingsley and wife Angie, of Lancaster, Kelly Lane Billingsley and wife Loria, of Glasgow, and Kerry Lynn Billingsley and wife Melissa, of Glasgow; 10 grandchildren, Julie Emberton Wilsher and husband Marshall, Amy Emberton Tabor and husband Michael, Jathan “Jake” Barrick and wife Angela, Kara Beth Wilson and husband Tim, Joshua Paul Billingsley, Amber Lynn Billingsley, Dakota “Cody” Billingsley, Kaylee Brooke Billingsley, Megan Rae Billingsley and Brendan Luke Billingsley; five great-grandchildren, Corey Meade and Maicey Alexandra Wilsher, Colten James and Carson Wayne Wilson and Michael Anthony Tabor Jr.; two brothers, Johnny Billingsley, of Glasgow, and George Billingsley, of Bowling Green; two sisters, Marie Goode, of Glasgow, and Mary Ruth Hickman, of Newark, Ohio. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Maxine Davis Billingsley; three brothers, Howard, Holman and Charlie Billingsley; and one sister, Margaret Huffman.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday. Oct. 5, at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be after 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Anthony ‘Tony’ Wayne Dubree
TOMPKINSVILLE – Anthony “Tony” Wayne Dubree, 60, of Tompkinsville, died Monday, Sept. 30, at his home.
Tony was born in Tompkinsville, on April 12, 1953, a son of the late Clarice (Ferguson) and Johnny Mitchell Dubree.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 3, at Yokley Trible Funeral Home with Jimmy Cook officiating. Visitation is Wednesday from 4 to 9 p.m. and Thursday 6 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in White Cemetery.
Glenn Alan Kingrey
GLASGOW – Glenn Alan Kingrey, 50, of Glasgow, died Monday, Sept. 30, 2013.
He was the son of the late Stanley and Oma Brady Kingrey. He was a member of Brotherhood Freewill Baptist Church and an employee of Barren County Metal & Truss.
He is survived by one son: Brady Kingrey; his fiancé, Stacey Minor; six brothers: Arnold Kingrey, Wilbur Kingrey and his wife Kathie, Darrell Kingrey, Jerry Kingrey and his wife Michelle, Gary Kingrey and Rex Kingrey; three sisters: Joan Bennett and her husband Carlos, Bonnie Lyon and Jennifer Taylor and her husband Mark; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday at Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be after 4 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
John Daniel McClard
SCOTTSVILLE – John Daniel McClard, died Sunday, Sept. 29, 2013, at his residence in Scottsville.
He was the son of Murl McClard and Gayle Jones McClard, of Scottsville.
Visitation will begin after 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2, and after 7:30 a.m. on Thursday at Strode Funeral Home Scottsville Chapel.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 3, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Crescent Hill Cemetery in Scottsville.
Elizabeth Ann Thomas
BOWLING GREEN – Elizabeth Ann Thomas, 59, of Bowling Green, died Monday, Sept. 30, 2013, at The Medical Center.
She was the daughter of the late Gerald and Joann Atkinson DeVoe, and wife of Mike Thomas, who survives.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday at Oak Forest Baptist Church. Burial will be in Hays Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the church.

OWENSBORO – Carolyn Sue Green Lawrence, 66, of Owensboro, and formerly of Glasgow, died Sunday, Sept. 29, 2013, at Kindred Healthcare/Hillcrest Nursing Home in Owensboro. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Henderson Cemetery at Finney.
MOUNT WASHINGTON – Brother John Lawrence “JL” Sturgeon, 84, of Mount Washington, formerly of Hart County, died Sunday, Sept. 29, 2013, at Green Meadows Healthcare Center in Mount Washington. Funeral service will be at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Mount Washington, at 11 a.m. ET, Wednesday. Interment will be at Pearl Webb Cemetery in Canmer. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Gideons International or American Cancer Society. Brooks Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
