Paul E. Day
LEXINGTON – Paul E. Day, 78, of Lexington, died Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2013, at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington.
He was born in Cub Run to the late Henry Granville Day and Mary Tom Sullivan Day.
He is survived by his wife, Grace Wilson Day.
Funeral services for Paul E. Day will be 2 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Sego Funeral Home with burial in Cub Run Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 1 to 7 p.m. and after 11 a.m. Saturday at Sego Funeral Home.
The family requests that memorial donations be made to Cub Run Cemetery Fund. These donations may be left at the funeral home.
Bobby Ray Elliott
GLASGOW – Bobby Ray Elliott, 80, of Glasgow, died Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2013, at his residence in Glasgow.
He was a member of Johnson Chapel C.M.E. Church; a U.S. Army veteran; member of DAV # 20; N.C.O.A.; and a Kentucky Colonel.
He was a Barren County farmer and avid outdoorsman. He played a major role in the book and documentary "The Everlasting Stream."
He was preceded in death by his parents, Shed and Stella Elliott; a grandson, Marcus Elliott; three brothers, Shed R. Elliott, Joe Elliott and Kyle Elliott.
Survivors include his wife of 23 years, Cobert Jean "CJ" Depp-Elliott, of Glasgow; a son, Stevenson Elliott (Valerie) of Riverdale, Ga.; a daughter, Nicole Elliott, of Glasgow; one grandchild, Drena Elliott and a great-grandchild, Adonis Elliott, both of Atlanta, Ga.; a brother, Alexander Elliott, of Glasgow. He played a major role in the life of Josh and Latoya Arnold; and host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 27, at Johnson Chapel C.M.E. Church with Rev. Chris Curry officiating. Burial will follow in Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation was at the church on Thursday.

Lou Ann England
EDINBURGH, Ind. – Lou Ann England, 76, of Edinburgh, died at 1:59 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 26, 2013, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.
Born June 16, 1937, in Glasgow, she was the daughter of the late Bill and Elizabeth Emmitt Chapman.
She is survived by her husband, Bobby England.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 1, at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home, Columbus, Ind., with Rev. Orville Turner officiating. Burial will follow in Garland Brook Cemetery in Columbus. Visitation will be Monday, Sept. 30, from 4 to 8 p.m. and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.
Louie F. Ford
GLASGOW – Louie F. Ford, 92, of Glasgow, died Thursday, Sept. 26, 2013, at Glasgow Health & Rehab Center.
Born in Bugtussle, Tenn., he was the son of the late Lonnie and Della Allen Ford and husband of the late Maymie Katherine England Ford and Inez Kinslow Ford.
Mr. Ford was of the Baptist faith and a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Army Air Force.
Survivors include three sons, Kenny Ford, of Glasgow, Junior Ford and Jerry Ford; two daughters, Della Jean Ford and Janice Ford, both of Monroe County; a step-son, James Robert Lemons, of Glasgow; several grandchildren including locally by Gary Ford, Jr., Bethany Craft, Kayla Ford, Megan Ford and Noah Ford.
In addition to his parents and wives, he was preceded in death by a son, Gary Ford; a daughter, Judy Ford, and a stepson, Floyd Lemons.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be after 4:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
GLASGOW – Shirlene Allen, 71, of Glasgow, died Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2013, at her residence. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Odd Fellow Cemetery.
COLUMBIA – Ricky Lynn England, 46, of Columbia, formerly of Tompkinsville, died Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2013, at his home in Columbia. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville. Burial will be in Yokley Cemetery in Monroe County.
GLASGOW – Viola Haynes McClard, 79, of Glasgow, died Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2013, at U. of L. Hospital in Louisville. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Caney Fork Cemetery.
CAVE CITY – Delsie D. (Gonterman) Taylor, 100, of Cave City, died on Sept. 22, 2013, at Glasgow Heath and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Sunday at Cherry Springs Missionary Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery.
