GLASGOW — Tommy Russell

HARDYVILLE — Tommy Russell, 69, of Hardyville, died Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013, at Hart County Health Care Center.

He was a Hart County native, a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War, a member of Three Springs Baptist Church and an avid fisherman and hunter.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Nona Whitlow Russell; three brothers, Verlon, Mitchell and Robert Russell; two sisters, Lois Russell Bush and Adrine Evans.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda Russell, of Hardyville; daughter, Lisa King (Jason), of Horse Cave; son, Gary Russell, San Diego, Calif.; two granddaughters, Tiffany Sexton (Matt) and Brianna Riley; grandson, Camden King; two great-great-grandchildren, Bryson Sexton and Keyleigh Sexton; two brothers, Everett Russell, of Knob Lick, and Hulon Russell, of Hardyville; sister, Diane Wells, of Smiths Grove and several nieces and nephews

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 6, at Winn Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Cosby Cemetery with full military honors by the DAV Chapter No. 20 of Glasgow.

Visitation will be noon to 8 p.m. Tuesday and after 9 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Henry Hester

SHELBYVILLE — Henry James Hester, 7 months old, passed away Friday, Feb. 1, 2013, at Jewish Hospital in Shelbyville.

 He is survived by his parents, Zac and Eli Hester, of Bagdad; grandparents, Jim and Judy Hester, of Stanford, Martha and Danny Martin, of Glasgow, Gerard and Ruthie Johnson, of Murray, and Tara Shaver, of Shelbyville; and great-grandparents, Ailene Dabney, of Stanford, Leslie Dean, of Glasgow, Leonard and Bernadine Johnson, of Glasgow, and Helen Martin, of Cave City.

Funeral services were 5 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 3, at the Shannon Funeral Home.  Expressions of sympathy may be made to Kosair Hospital NICU or CaringBridge.org.



Rosie Trivett

MOUNT HERMON — Rosie Ethel Trivett, 88, of the Mount Hermon Community, died Thursday, Jan. 31, 2013 at The Monroe Monroe County Medical Center in Tompkinsville.    

Funeral services were 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 3, at Fountain Run Funeral Home with Brother Gary Emberton officiating; burial followed in Bethlehem Cemetery.

Her survivors include a sister, Geneva Burks, of Clarksville, Ind., and a host of nieces and nephews.

Family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Bethlehem Cemetery Fund.                                                                                                                                                                                       



Charles Fulkerson

MUNFORDVILLE — Charles Robert Fulkerson, 84, of Munfordville, died Sunday at his home. He was born on May 14, 1928, at Bonnieville to the late Thomas Fulkerson and Sina Hatfield Fulkerson.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Vincent Fulkerson.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Sego Funeral Home with Brother Richard Martin officiating. Burial will be in Horse Cave Cemetery.  Visitation will be Tuesday from 2 to 8 p.m. and after 8 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.



Ruby Romines

CANMER — Ruby Estes Romines, 88, of Canmer, died Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013, at her residence in Canmer. She was the daughter of the late Clarence Estes and the late Gladys Bardin Estes.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Andrew Romine.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 8 p.m., Monday, Feb. 4, at Brooks Funeral Home and from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 5 at Hopewell Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Canmer. Funeral service will be at the church at 1 p.m., Tuesday with Rev. Nolan Hensley and Brother Sammy Romines officiating. Burial will be at Pearl Webb Cemetery in Canmer.
