Anna Marie Crain
MUNFORDVILLE – Anna Marie Crain, 85, of Munfordville, died Thursday, Jan. 31, 2013, at Hart County Health Care.
She was the daughter of the late Mennifee Smith and Maude Huffaker Smith.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Garland Crain.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Sego Funeral Home with Brother Rick Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Munfordville Municipal Cemetery. Visitation is in progress and will continue after 8 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home until time for services.
Raymond D. England
GAMALIEL – Raymond D. England, 87, of Gamaliel, died Thursday, Jan. 31, 2013, at Southern Kentucky Rehab Hospital in Bowling Green.
He was the husband of Mary Ann Pedigo Key England, of Gamaliel, and son of the late Ellis England and Ocia Taylor England.
Visitation will be Saturday after 2 p.m. at Strode’s Gamaliel Chapel. Funeral services will be Sunday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in Old Rocky Hill Cemetery.
Fredric Gerald Fults
MUNFORDVILLE – Fredric Gerald Fults, 81, of Munfordville, passed away Thursday, Jan. 31, 2013, at his home.
He was a son of the late Oran and Edna Price Fults. Gerald was a retired farmer, a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a member of Munfordville First United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Montella Mears Fults; two daughters, Traci Gardner and husband Tony, of Horse Cave, Margaret Johnson and husband Jerry, of Horse Cave; four grandchildren, Johnathan Johnson, Leslie Scott, Luke and Logan Gardner; and two great-grandchildren, Andrea Scott and Emily Scott.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Sego Funeral Home with burial in Timberlake Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and after 8 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Clifford M. Hammer
GLASGOW – Clifford M. Hammer, 76, of Glasgow, died Friday, Feb. 1, 2013, at his home.
Born in Monroe County, he was the son of Fred and Ella Geralds Hammer. Clifford owned and operated Clifford Hammer Plumbing & Electric serving as master plumber and electrician over 40 years. He was a member and an Elder with Refuge Church of Christ at Eighty Eight.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Carolyn Bowman Hammer; his loving mother, Ella Geralds Hammer; two sons, Steven M. Hammer (Tammy), of Glasgow and Gregory C. Hammer (Sonja), of Glasgow; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one brother, Thomas Hammer (Eula), of Canton, Ohio; three sisters, Betty Barbour (Omar) and Linda Strode (Carlie), both of Glasgow, and Nancy Garrett (Erbie), of Hodgenville, and several nieces, nephews and friends.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Herman and Paul Hammer; a sister, Sondra Hammer; and a granddaughter, Carmelia Hammer.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Monroe County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. Saturday.
Ila Mae Spear Harrison
TOMPKINSVILLE – Ila Mae Spear Harrison, 93, of Tompkinsville, passed away Thursday, Jan. 31, 2013, at Monroe Health & Rehabilitation Center.
Ila was born in Tompkinsville on April 30, 1919, a daughter of the late Flora (Baskett) and L.B. Spear. On Dec. 5, 1944, in Monroe County, she married Clifton Harrison. She was a member of Mount Gilead Church of Christ and she worked in the laundry department at T.J. Sampson Community Hospital.
Ila Mae is survived by two daughters, Velma Lou Coffing, of Lafayette, Ind., and Sue Ann Walker, of Tompkinsville; three sons, Charles Harrison, of Bowling Green, Thomas L. Harrison, of Glasgow, and Olis Harrison, of Glasgow; 13 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. Ila is also survived by her sister- in-law, Nelda Harrison, of Glasgow.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifton Harrison; her son, Olmer Harrison; and a brother, Floyd Spear.
Funeral services will be conducted at Yokley Trible Funeral Home at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 3, 2013, with Brother Tim McHenry officiating.
Visitation is Saturday, Feb. 2 after 2 p.m. and Sunday, Feb. 3 from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Yokley Trible Funeral Home. Burial is in Old Mount Hermon Cemetery.
Robert Ester ‘Tooter’ Hayes
CAVE CITY – Robert Ester “Tooter” Hayes, 70, of Cave City, died Thursday, Jan. 31, 2013, at The Medical Center in Bowling Green.
He was the son of the late Robert L. Hayes and the late Goldie Philpott Hayes. He is survived by his wife, Rosie Hayes, Horse Cave.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Brooks Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with Brother Doug Cross officiating. Interment will be at Echo Mission Cemetery, Horse Cave. Memorial donations may be made to Brooks Funeral Home for funeral expenses for Robert Hayes.
J. W. ‘Bud’ Jakeman Jr.
MUNFORDVILLE – J.W. “Bud” Jakeman Jr., 72, of Munfordville, died Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2013, at Hart County Health Care Center in Horse Cave.
He was retired from the U.S. Air Force, Vietnam veteran, a member of VFW Post 3586 in Salt Lake City, Utah and a member of St. Helen’s Catholic Church.
He was the son of the late J.W. Jakeman and the late Virginia Abrew Jakeman.
He is survived by his wife, Janice Mart Jakeman; one daughter, Theresa Moore, Elko, Nev.; one son, Jay Lynn Jakeman (Chanda), Elko, Nev.; one stepson, Robert R. Bailey (Lynne), Radcliff; five grandchildren, Amber Jakeman, Eli Robbins, Daniel Robbins, Travis H. Bailey, Matthew H. Bailey; one great-grandchild, Ariah Jakeman; two sisters, Carol Kilcrease (Bryan), Karen Lindhardt (Mark); five brothers, Walter Jakeman (Carole), Darrell Jakeman (Joan), Lynn Jakeman, Shane Jakeman (Setti), Bill Jakeman; and a special family member, Kris Jakeman.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a beloved grandchild, Joshua Earl Jakeman and a sister, Sharon Jakeman.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday and from 9 to 10 a.m. Monday at Brooks Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with Father Joel Rogers officiating. Interment will be 1 p.m. ET at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central, Radcliff.
Caly D. Simpson
LeGRANDE – Caly D. Simpson, 82, of the LeGrande community, died Thursday morning, Jan. 31, 2013, at his home.
Mr. Simpson was born in Metcalfe County, owned and operated Simpson’s Garage and Welding Shop in LeGrande, was a U.S. Army veteran serving during World War II and formerly lived in Hoopeston, Ill., where he owned Simpson’s Wrecker Service. He also was an avid fisherman and a knife and coin collector.
Mr. Simpson was preceded in death by his parents, Jessie Simpson and Annie Ruth Trent Simpson, three sisters, Louise Simpson, Elois Turner and Elnora Simpson.
Survivors include his wife, Antonia Simpson, of LeGrande; two sons, Michael Simpson and wife Marie, of Horse Cave, and Robert Simpson and wife Debbie, of Sarasota, Fla.; two daughters, Cindy Milby, of Horse Cave, and Diana Simpson, of Valparisio, Ind.; two grandchildren, Jessica Mayville and Jon Michael Milby; a brother, Kenneth Simpson, of Columbus, Ind., and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Winn Funeral Home, with burial in Cosby Cemetery with full military honors.
Visitation will begin from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and after 9 a.m. Sunday in the chapel of the funeral home.
Janis M. Thompson
MUNFORDVILLE – Janis M. Thompson, 65, of Munfordville, died Thursday, Jan. 31, 2013, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital.
She was a native of Indianapolis and daughter of the late Walter J. King and Marry Emma Hall King.
Janis is survived by her husband, Gary Thompson.
There will be no visitation or services, as the family chose cremation. Sego Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.

BONNIEVILLE – Ida Mae Heath, 71, of Bonnieville, died Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2013, at Woodland Terrace Health Care in Elizabethtown.
