GLASGOW — Marjorie F. Cooksey

GLASGOW – Marjorie F. Cooksey, 87, of Glasgow, died Wednesday, May 15, 2013, at Glenview Health Care Center.

Arrangements are incomplete, but under the direction of Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home.

Mariann Reece

ADDISON, Ill. – Mariann Reece, 53, of Addison, Ill., died Saturday, May 11, 2013, in Elk Grove, Ill.

Born in Elmhurst, Ill., she was the daughter of the late Herbert Cecil Reece and Peggy Lee Ritter Reece of Glasgow, who survives.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her brother, Richard Reece (Cathy Herrick), of Hampshire, Ill.; her mother’s special friend, Hayden Saltsman, of Glasgow; and her aunts and uncles, Patsy Bunch (Roy), of Bowling Green, Shirley Blank (Harvey), of Clarksville, Tenn., Marshall Bailey, of Glasgow, and Max Ritter (Deb), of Nashville.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by an aunt, Carol Bailey.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, May 18, 2013, at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be after 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Khole Danay and Kinay Ivory Smith

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Khole Danay and Kinay Ivory Smith, infant daughters of Brad Antoino Smith and Tosha Renea Wood, passed away at Centennial Medical Center, Nashville, Tenn.

Khole and Kinay were born in Nashville, Tenn. on May 10, 2013. Khole passed away May 11, 2013, and Kinay passed away May 12, 2013.

Khole and Kinay are survived by their parents, Tosha Wood and Brad Smith; four sisters, Kiosha Smith, of Bowling Green, Kasmine Smith, of Bowling Green, Brashay Smith, of Tompkinsville, and Brashonna Smith, of Tompkinsville; two brothers, Khalil Wood, of Bowling Green and Brad Smith, of Tompkinsville. Also surviving are grandfathers, George Tooley and Roger Wood; step-grandfather, Mickey Tooley; great-grandmother, Jo Ann Tooley.

Khole and Kinay are preceded in death by their grandmother, Susan Tooley.

Graveside services will be conducted at Mount Nebo Cemetery at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 18, with Fontis Pipkin officiating.

Arrangements are under the direction of Yokley Trible Funeral Home.

 

Hal B. Toms

CAVE CITY – Hal B. Toms, 54, of Cave City, died Thursday, May 9, 2013, while on a cruise.

The Barren County native was the son of the late Leslie E. and Ruth Steenbergen Toms. He served two years as an enlisted soldier in the Ky. Army National Guard. He was then selected to attend Officer Candidate School. He continued his service as an officer in the 623rd Field Artillery. He was honorably discharged as a 1st Lieutenant in 1994. He retired as the principal for the Barren County Area Technology Center after 28 years in education. One of his greatest interests was the collection and restoration of classic high performance cars. He will be remembered as a person who treated everyone fairly and one who followed through on what he said he would do.

He is survived by his fiancée, Kim Bailey Jackson, of Glasgow; one daughter, Amber Judd (Korey), of Hendersonville, Tenn.; two sons, Captain Jonathon Toms, USAF Raleigh, N.C., and William Toms, of Lexington; one brother, Leslie Philip Toms (Jane), of Lexington; one grandson, Jacob Judd; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 4 p.m. Sunday at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home, with burial in Evergreen Cemetery at Park City. Visitation will be after 5 p.m. Saturday and continue Sunday morning at 9 a.m. at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home.
