GLASGOW — Raymond Edward Gossett

CAVE CITY – Raymond Edward Gossett, 72, of Cave City, died Saturday, Jan. 11, 2014, at  Hardin Memorial Hospital.

He was a son of the late Roy and Anna Mae Minor Gossett.

Mr. Gossett is survived by his wife, Lola Glass Gossett.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Sego Funeral Home with Brother James Overstreet and Brother Junior Estes officiating. Burial will be in Cave City Cemetery. Visitation is in progress and will continue Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. and after 8 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

James Robert Hoover

GLASGOW – James Robert Hoover, 96, of Glasgow, died Saturday, Jan. 11, 2014, at Glasgow Health & Rehab Center.

Born in Metcalfe County, he was the son of the late Courtney and May Pedigo Hoover. Mr. Hoover was a mechanic for Richardson Brothers at Eighty Eight and a school bus driver for Barren County Schools for several years. He was also a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Army and a member of Basil Chapel Baptist Church.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 68 years, Edna Dickey Hoover; a daughter, Barbara Yates, of Horse Cave; a son, James Dickie Hoover and wife Faye, of Glasgow; two grandchildren, Tammy Ann Hoover, of Caneyville,  and Chris Hoover and wife Stephanie, of Glasgow; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five sisters, Bernice Hoover, Ruth Pedigo, Lucille Reece, Dorothy Smith and Jewel Hoover, and two brothers, Roy and Harry Hoover.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 14, at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Union #2 Cemetery with military honors provided by D.A.V. Chapter #20 of Glasgow. Visitation is in progress at the funeral home.

Alternate expressions of sympathy may take the form of memorial contributions to BRAWA (Barren River Animal Welfare Assn.) P.O. Box 171, Glasgow, KY 42142.

Ray Denzil London

HISEVILLE – Ray Denzil London, 74, of Hiseville, died Saturday, Jan. 11, 2014, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital.

He was the son of the late Otis Guy London and Eliza Frances Edwards London.

Funeral service was Monday, Jan. 13, at Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home. Burial was in Hiseville Cemetery.
