BROWNSVILLE — Brently H. Stice, 51, of Shepherdsville, formerly of Brownsville, passed away Thursday, Dec. 6, 2012, in Brownsville.
The 1979 graduate of Barren County High School attended WKU and graduated Louisville University School of Dentistry in 1985. He was in practice in Brownsville for more than 27 years. He was highly respected and loved by his patients. He was a member of the American Dental Association, Kentucky Dental Association and Pennyrile Dental Society, Barren River District Health Board, and Little Hope Missionary Baptist Church.
The Edmonson County native is the son of James Harlan Stice and Patsy Ann Miller Stice, of Park City, and the husband of Janet McIntyre Stice.
Besides his parents and wife, he is survived by his daughter, Bretta Jo Stice, of Louisville; sister, Myra Ray (Eugene), of Smiths Grove; maternal grandmother, Verda Miller, of Park City; and two nephews, Ethan Ray and Aaron Ray.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 11, at Little Hope Missionary Baptist Church with burial in Hawkins Cemetery. Visitation will be until 8 p.m. Monday at Patton Funeral Home Brownsville Chapel and 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church.
GLASGOW — Peggy Vanderpool, 66, of Glasgow, passed away at 10:30 p.m. Saturday at her mother’s home in Glasgow. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church of Glasgow.
Peggy is survived by her mother, Carolyn Dennison Sullivan, of Glasgow; one daughter, Holly Bradley Bailey and husband Todd, of Franklin, Tenn.; one sister, Diane Sullivan Martin and husband Skip, of Jonesboro, Ark.; two grandchildren, Blake and Abbie Bradley.
She was preceeded in death by her father, Charles E. Sullivan, and a daughter, Shawn Bradley.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Sego Funeral Home with Pastor Terry Carmichael and Brother Jim Pierce officiating. Burial will be in Goodman Cemetery at Munfordville. Visitation will be 11 a.m. until time of service Tuesday at the funeral home.
