Eva Sartin Bogue
MUNFORDVILLE – Eva Sartin Bogue, 64, of Munfordville, died Sunday, June 30, 2013, at her home.
She was born in Cave City to the late Jack B. Sartin and Mattie Ross Sartin and was raised by her uncle and aunt, Cecil and Madalene Riherd.
She is survived by her husband, Bradley Bogue.
A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Munfordville Municipal Cemetery with Brother Wayne Hatcher officiating.
There will be no visitation. Sego Funeral Home is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
Frank J. Campbell
GLASGOW – Frank J. Campbell, 94, of Glasgow, died June 29, 2013, at his residence.
A native of Louisville, he was the son of the late Gladys Sanderson and Frank J. Campbell Sr.
He was a former mechanic at the Ford garage in Leitchfield and a retired mail carrier at the Leitchfield Post Office. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of First Baptist Church in Leitchfield.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Mayes Campbell; one son, Michael A. Campbell and his wife Nancy, of New Albany, Ind.; one stepson, Richard Mayes and his wife Eve, of Pocataligo, Ga.; one brother-in-law, Oval Higgs and his wife Beulah, of Millwood; eight grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by the love of his life and mother of his three children, Dorine Higgs Campbell, to whom he was married for 57 years; along with a son, Larry Campbell; and a daughter, Carolyn Mitchell.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Watkins-Oller Funeral Home in Leitchfield with burial in Layman Memorial Cemetery at Millwood. Visitation was Sunday at Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home in Glasgow, and Monday at Watkins-Oller Funeral Home in Leitchfield.
CAMPBELLSVILLE – Wanda Nadine Lee Cooke, 62, of Campbellsville, died Wednesday, June 27, 2013, at Taylor Regional Hospital in Campbellsville.
She was the daughter of the late John Douglas and Alma Bratcher Lee and the wife of Eddie Michael Cooke, who survives.
Funeral services were 11 a.m. Monday at Dripping Springs Missionary Baptist Church on U.S. 31W. Burial was in Smiths Grove Cemetery. Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Smiths Grove chapel, was in charge of the arrangements.
Joan Lee Copass
NORTH FORT MYERS, Fla. – Joan Lee Copass, 79, of North Fort Myers, Fla., died Thursday, June 27, 2013, at Ft. Myers, Fla.
She married Otley Copass, who survives and lives in Fort Myers, Fla.
Joan was born in Fowler, Ind., on Aug. 24, 1933, a daughter of the late Sally K. (Morris) and Lewis McGill.
Funeral services were at Yokley-Trible Funeral Home at 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 30. Burial was in Old Mount Hermon Cemetery in Tompkinsville.
Ruth Evelyn Cummins
LEBANON, Ind. – Ruth Evelyn Cummins, 80, of Lebanon, Ind., a native of Monroe County, died Wednesday, June 26, 2013, at Hickory Creek in Lebanon, Ind.
On Oct. 10, 1972, at Gallatin, Tenn., she married Charles Cummins, who preceded her in death May 25, 2001.
Ruth was born in Monroe County, on Sept. 14, 1932, a daughter of the late Glennie (Jones) and Ruel Jones.
Funeral services at Yokley-Trible Funeral Home, Tompkinsville, were at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 29, 2013. Burial was in Bethlehem Cemetery at Mount Hermon.
GLASGOW – Glenda Jane Frost, 60, of Glasgow and formerly of Campbellsville, died Friday, June 28, 2013, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow.
She was born in Taylor County the daughter of the late James Robert Bell and Maggie Hash Bell. She was a nurse anesthetist and retired from T.J. Samson Hospital after 35 years. Mrs. Frost was a member of Glasgow Baptist Church.
Survivors include her son, Tyler Frost, of Glasgow; one sister, Karen Jones, of Campbellsville; two nephews, Weston and Morgan Jones, of Campbellsville; and a niece, Miranda Bell, of Campbellsville.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Gary Lynn Bell.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. eastern Tuesday at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville with burial in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens. Visitation was Monday at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home in Glasgow and will continue Tuesday from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville.
BONNIEVILLE – Ernest Hodge, 93, of Bonnieville, died Friday, June 28, 2013, at Kensington Manor Nursing Facility in Elizabethtown.
The Hart County native was the son of the late “Coon” Hodge and Lizzie Bryant Hodge and the husband of the late Lillie Hodge.
Funeral services were 2 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Sego Funeral Home. Burial was in Weldon Cemetery at Bonnieville.
Opal Mae Howard
LEXINGTON – Opal Mae Branstetter Howard, 101, of Lexington, and formerly of Tompkinsville, died Saturday, June 29, 2013, at Pine Meadows Health Care in Lexington.
She was the daughter of the late Willie Greene Branstetter and Bertha Payne Branstetter and the wife of the late Hugh Howard.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 3, at Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville. Visitation will be after 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Skaggs Creek Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to the Skaggs Creek Cemetery.

CAVE CITY – Allan Depp Judd, 58, of Cave City, died Saturday, June 29, 2013, at his residence.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time, but are under the direction of A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home.
Dixie M. Kessinger
MUNFORDVILLE – Dixie M. Kessinger, 73, of Munfordville, died Saturday, June 29, 2013, at Caverna Memorial Hospital in Horse Cave.
She was the daughter of the late Clarence Johnson and the late Ollie Johnson.
She is survived by her husband: J.T. Kessinger, of Munfordville.
Visitation is in progress at Brooks Funeral Home and will continue from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at Munfordville First United Methodist Church.
Funeral service will be at the church at 11 a.m. Tuesday with Pastor Rick Johnson officiating. Interment will be at Harper Cemetery, Munfordville. An Eastern Star service was held Monday at the funeral home.
Margaret Jane Nickols
SCOTTSVILLE – Margaret Jane Nickols, 85, of Scottsville, died Sunday, June 30, 2013, at NHC in Glasgow.
She was the daughter of the late William Brett and Beatrice Campbell Basham.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Bowling Green Chapel with burial in Fairview Cemetery #2. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
TOMPKINSVILLE – Amos Lynn “Tinker” Scott, 85, of Tompkinsville, died Friday June 28, 2013, at Monroe County Medical Center in Tompkinsville.
He was the son of the late Byrd Scott and Vestie Kingery and husband to Juanita Howard Scott, of Tompkinsville, who survives.
Funeral service was 3 p.m. Monday at Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville. Burial was in Beautiful Home Cemetery.

Clorene Adams Sheffield
TEMPLE HILL – Clorene Adams Sheffield, 82, of Temple Hill, formerly of Monroe County, went home to be with her Lord Jesus Christ on Sunday, June 30, 2013, at the NHC Health Care in Glasgow after a brief illness.
She was born May 6, 1931, in Tompkinsville, the daughter of Joe Cephas and Omie Fox Adams. She was saved Oct. 22, 1949, and joined Athens Missionary Baptist Church in Tompkinsville. She later moved her membership to Dover Missionary Baptist Church at Etoile, where she had been a faithful member for eight years. She helped her husband farm and raised their family of four daughters before she started public work for 23 years. She then worked in garment factories for 15 years before retiring.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Richard Cordell Sheffield, of Temple Hill, four daughters, Betty Wright, of Glasgow, Connie Hart and husband Odell, of Temple Hill, Bonnie Sheffield, of Tompkinsville, and Della Sheffield, of Glasgow; five grandchildren, Ricky Wright, of Scottsville, April Lile, of Glasgow, Brad Wright and wife Tabitha, of Austin Tracy, Jessica Pruitt, of Tompkinsville, and Ashley Hart, of Temple Hill; six great-grandchildren, Braylin, Jaxon and Logan Wright, Shannon and Benjamin Lile, Trinity and Starr Pruitt; one sister, Ruie Adams, of Tompkinsville; two sisters-in-law, Alta Abston, of Glasgow, and Kathleen Guffey, of Tompkinsville; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend whom she loved dearly, Janice Mills, of Tompkinsville.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe Cephas and Omie Fox Adams; brothers, Clyde, Levy and Jesse Adams; sisters, Ruby Adams, Flossie Summers, Lemie Webb, Lucy Hicks and Dealie Hale.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 4 p.m. at Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville with burial to follow in Poplar Log Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 2 p.m. Tuesday and after 7:30 a.m. Wednesday at Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville.
Thomas ‘Tommy’ Vincent
SMITHS GROVE – Thomas Leon “Tommy” Vincent, 73, of Smiths Grove, died Friday, June 28, 2013, at his residence.
He was the son of the late Noel and Willena Williams Vincent and husband of Margaret Tipton Vincent, who survives.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Hardy & Son Funeral Home with burial in Smiths Grove Cemetery. Visitation is in progress and will continue from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
BOWLING GREEN – Anna Frances Cochran White, 89, of Bowling Green, died Friday, June 28, 2013, at the Hospice House of Southern Kentucky.
She was the daughter of the late Leo H. and Bessie Biggerstaff Cochran and the wife of the late Leslie Earl White.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Bowling Green chapel. Burial will be in Smiths Grove Cemetery.
