GLASGOW – Louise Ball Kidd, of Glasgow, died Monday, Sept. 16, 2013, at The Medical Center at Bowling Green.
Arrangements are incomplete but will be under the direction of the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home.
Ervin Bernell McFelia
MUNFORDVILLE – Ervin Bernell McFelia, 72, of Munfordville, passed away at 10:37 a.m. Friday, Sept. 13, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital.
The Hart County native was the son of the late William Ervin and Lizzie Lindsey McFelia.
Bernell is survived by his wife, Clara Dean McFelia.
Funeral services for Ervin Bernell McFelia were 1 p.m. Monday, Sept. 16, in the chapel of Sego Funeral Home. Brother John Smith and Brother Lonnie Sheets officiated. Burial was in Old Green River Cemetery. The family request that memorial donations be made to Old Green River Cemetery or Munfordville Baptist Church. These donations may be left at Sego Funeral Home.
BONNIEVILLE – Arlene Meredith, 81, of Bonnieville, passed away Saturday, Sept. 14, 2013, at her home in Bonnieville.
She was the daughter of the late Watson Farris and the late Rosie Carroll Farris
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband James “River Jim” Meredith.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 17, at Brooks Funeral Home, Munfordville and on Wednesday, from 10 a.m. until time for services on Thursday at New Salem General Baptist Church, Bee Springs. Funeral service will be at New Salem General Baptist Church at 11 a.m, Thursday, Sept. 19, with Brother Dagwood Huff officiating. Interment will be at Jock Cemetery, Bee Spring.
Tommy Reed Dennis
MUNFORDVILLE – Tommy Reed Dennis, 67, of Munfordville, passed away Friday, Sept. 13, 2013, at his residence in Munfordville.
He was the son of the late Joe Dennis and Pearline Sanders Dennis of Munfordville, who survives. He was the husband of the late June Marie Huff Dennis and the late Alberta Marie Pierce Dennis.
Funeral service was 1 p.m. Monday, Sept. 16, 2013, at Pleasant View United Baptist Church. Brother Jimmy Sanders officiated. Interment was at Pleasant View Cemetery, Munfordville.
Brooks Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
TOMPKINSVILLE – Cass Hammer, 84, of Tompkinsville, passed away Friday, Sept. 13, at his home.
Cass was born in Monroe County on March 3, 1929, a son of the late Vessie (Ford) and Richard Tennessee Hammer.
He served in the U.S. Army during Korea War as a tanker Sergeant.
He worked as a farmer for many years.
Cass is survived by three sons Martin Hammer, Kevin Hammer, Timmy Hammer, all of Tompkinsville. Cass is also survived by a sister, Vida Roth, of Tompkinsville; four brothers, Charles Hammer, of Kentucky; High Hammer, of Indiana; Jerry Hammer, of Tompkinsville; Travler Hammer, of Tompkinsville; 10 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by a brother, Calvin Hammer; a sister, Tonnie Giddings, and a great-grandchild.
Funeral service were at Yokley Trible Funeral Home at 11 a.m. on Monday, Sept.16. Rex Robin Rush was the speaker.
Burial was in the Hammer Cemetery with military rights performed by DAV Chapter 20 of Glasgow.
