GLASGOW — Frances Chenoweth, 87, of Glasgow, died Saturday, March 1, 2014, at T. J. Samson Community Hospital.
She was born in Metcalfe County, the daughter of the late Frank and Grace Spears Shirley.
Her husband was the late William Isaac “Ike” Chenoweth.
Mrs. Chenoweth was a former employee of Shirley Furniture, Goodyear Tire and New Farmers National Bank in Glasgow. She was a member of Refuge Church of Christ.
She is survived by her son, Gary Chenoweth and wife Elaine, of Glasgow; four grandchildren, Jason (Judy) Chenoweth, of Russell Springs, Stacia (Mark) Sharff, of Lexington, Greg Bartley, of Glasgow and Steven (Jenette) Bartley, of Glasgow; five great-grandchildren and several step-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a daughter, Wanda Elaine Bartley, two brothers, Kenneth and Vodra Shirley, a sister, Nell Cooper and a granddaughter-in-law, Leslie Bartley.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 5 at A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Refuge Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Tuesday.
