Raymond Keltner

COLUMBIA – Raymond Keltner, age 98 years, of Columbia, passed away Monday, Feb. 10, 2014, at VA Medical Center in Lexington. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lee Turner Keltner, on July 28, 2003, and a grandson, Mark Keltner.

He is survived by three sons: Rayburn (Debbie) Keltner, of Science Hill, Dennis (Rita) Keltner, of Campbellsville, George Hayden (Linda) Keltner, of Vacaville, Calif.; eight grandchildren, Brad Keltner, Brandon Keltner, Lisa Rowlett, Anita Proffitt, John Keltner, Rachel Moats, Jason Keltner and

Timothy Keltner; 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

He was a retired farmer, was a World War II veteran, having served in the U. S. Army, and participated in the battles of Philippine Liberation, Luzon New Guinea.

Funeral service will be Saturday, Feb. 15, at 1 p.m. at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home. Clergy officiating will be Rev. David Kemp and Brother Herbert Janes. Interment will be in Haven Hill Cemetery with full military honors by local VFW Post 6097.

Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home in charge of funeral arrangements. Visitation will be after 4:30 p.m. Friday.
