GLASGOW — Rose Ellen Oliver Flowers

SCOTTSVILLE – Rose Ellen Oliver Flowers, 94, of Scottsville, died Friday, Feb. 7, 2014, at Colonial Center in Bowling Green. The Scottsville native was a retired employee of Allen County Board of Education, a member of Clifton General Baptist Church and Meador Homemakers. She was a daughter of the late James Ewing Oliver and Patsy Ann Moody Oliver and wife of the late Charlie Herman Flowers.

She is survived by one son, Mike Flowers, of Bowling Green; four daughters, Judy Burgess and husband Rodney, of Austin, Sandra Meador and husband Gordon, of Scottsville, Pam Sarver and husband Danny, of Adolphus, Faye West and husband Feral, of Pine Bluff, Ark.; 17 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Goldean Raney and Reba Jean Petersen; one brother, Lewie Oliver and six sisters: Ocie Sears, Oval Sledge, Dollie Mash, Addie Nichols, Katy Cornwell and Velda Hinton Willoughby.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Goad Funeral Home with Brother Feral West officiating and burial in Clifton Cemetery. Visitation will be after noon Saturday at Goad Funeral Home.
