Jack Vedell Wilson
MAGNOLIA – Jack Vedell Wilson, 91, of Magnolia, passed away Sunday, Jan. 19, 2014, at his home.
He was born June 17, 1922, in California, to the late John and Signe Vedell Wilson and was the widower of Lucille Bottemiller Wilson. He was a member of Cave City United Methodist Church and was a veteran of World War II. He was a self-employed supplier of masonry goods.
Survivors include a son, Michael John Wilson; a daughter, Jacqueline Lee Wilson, both of Magnolia; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services with Scott Milby officiating will be 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 24, at Cave City United Methodist Church. Burial in Linwood Cemetery with full military honors will be 2 p.m. Friday. Visitation at Bob Hunt Funeral Chapel, Cave City, will be after 4:30 p.m. Thursday and at the church after 10 a.m. Friday.
BOWLING GREEN – Sydney W. Bunnell, 95, of Bowling Green, and formerly of Hodgenville, died Friday, Jan. 17, 2014, at The Medical Center in Bowling Green. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Winn Funeral Home with burial to follow in Horse Cave Municipal Cemetery.
TOMPKINSVILLE – Leland A. Dyer, 88, of Tompkinsville, died Saturday, Jan. 18, 2014, at his home in Tompkinsville. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville. Burial will be in Monroe County Memorial Lawn.
GLASGOW – Margaret Frances Elmore, 93, of Glasgow, died Monday, Jan. 20, 2014, at University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Glasgow Municipal Cemetery.
CAVE CITY – Christopher L. “Chris” Myers, 47, of Cave City, died Sunday, Jan. 19, 2014. Memorial service will be 8 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Winn Funeral Home.
GLASGOW – H. Thomas Neal, 79, of Glasgow, died on Saturday, Jan. 18, 2014, after a brief illness at the University of Louisville Hospital. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Big Meadow Cemetery.
ROCK HILL, S.C. — Betty Sue Krech Richardson, 85, formerly of Glasgow, died Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2013, at her home. There will be a memorial service in Glasgow on Jan. 25, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness.
GAMALIEL – Barbara Jean Simmons Ryherd, 66, of Gamaliel, died Monday, Jan. 20, 2014, at Kentuckiana Medical Center in Clarksville, Ind. Graveside service and burial will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Monroe County Memorial Lawn in Tompkinsville.
