ANTIOCH, Tenn. —
Betty Jane Furkins, 61, of Antioch, Tenn., formerly of Glasgow, died Wednesday, June 25, 2014, at the Alive Hospice Center in Nashville, Tenn.
Born in Louisville, she was the daughter of the late Yancel Roscoe and Suzanne Wilcox Matthews. Mrs. Furkins was a member of Siloam Baptist Church, a 1970 graduate of Temple Hill High School and an employee of the Tennessee Wildlife Resource Agency.
Survivors include her husband, Harry Furkins, of Antioch; a daughter, Mylinda McKay and her husband, Ronnie, of Mt. Juliet, Tenn.; a son, Jeremy Furkins of Antioch; a foster daughter, Melanie Hodge and her husband, Jeff, of Greenbrier, Tenn.; a grandson, Patrick May of Fairview, Tenn.; a stepgrandson, Ronnie McKay Jr. of Mt. Juliet and two foster grandchildren, Kylie and Zachary Hodge of Greenbrier.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home, with burial in Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
