INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — Lillie Mae Gramlin, 78, died peacefully on Friday, Nov. 30, 2012, at her home in Indianapolis with Hospice attending her needs.
A native of Morgantown, he was a daughter of the late Isom and Lillian Cardwell Evans and was a retired employee of Target. Lillie enjoyed her gospel music as well as writing songs. She was a loving, devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed her time at Life Tabernacle Church.
Survivors include one son, Kenneth Gramlin (Linda), of Glasgow; one daughter, Shirley M. Ross, of Indianapolis; three grandchildren, Charity Defabois, Nathan Ross and Tabbie Ross; four great-grandchildren, Jerimaih, Deanna, Dekota and Chrispher Defabis; one sister, Mable (Jim) Dickerson, of Indianapolis; one brother, Jerry L. (Peggy) Evans, of Bowling Green.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie B. Gramlin; one sister, Goldie Evans; three brothers, Bill Evans, Roy Evans and Raymond Evans.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at White Cemetery in Monroe County under the direction of Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Ewing ‘Doc’ Kingrey
GLASGOW — Ewing Palmore “Doc” Kingrey, 71, of Glasgow, died Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012, at T. J. Samson Community Hospital.
Born in Barren County, he was the son of the late Rad and Frances Hood Kingrey and husband of the late Barbara Combs Kingrey. Mr. Kingrey was a member of Dover Baptist Church and a veteran of the U. S. Army.
Survivors include two brothers, Paris Kingrey (Betty), of Glasgow, and Curtis Kingrey (Dorothy), of Louisville; a companion, Lorraine Kingrey, of Glasgow; a granddaughter, Whitney Reid, of Glasgow; a great-grandson, A. J. Reid, of Glasgow; several nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Penny McCluskey, and a great-grandchild, Kaitlin Reid.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4, at A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Bethlehem Cemetery. Visitation will be after 4 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
