GLASGOW — Edna E. Breitenfeld

GLASGOW – Edna E. Breitenfeld, 75, Glasgow, died Thursday, July 25, 2013, at Glasgow Health & Rehabilitation Center.

A daughter of the late William Frank and Lissia Pearl Dugard Gass, she was a retired nurses’ aide, and a member of Glasgow First Church of God.

Survivors include six children, Johnnie Green and wife Mary Jo, Theresa Richardson and husband Alan, Lisa Ketterer and husband Rob, Terry Green, Brenda Orlando and Helen Aldridge; two stepsons, Michael Duane Breitenfeld and wife Shannon, and Christopher Lee Breitenfeld; 14 grandchildren, Adam, Dylan, Casey and Jennifer Green, Mitchell and Reagan VanCleave, Terri Lee, Nicole and Danielle Green, Justin and Wesley Cleaver, Christy, Tiffany and Steven Aldridge; two step-grandchildren, Dustin Michael Breitenfeld and Samantha Hailey Breitenfeld; three great-grandchildren, A.J. and Ty Green, and McKenzie Salas; three sisters, Lee Ann Kirn and husband Joe, Barbara Jean Dugard and Carolyn Anderson and husband Talbert; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two husbands, Elmer Lee Green and Duane N. Breitenfeld; two sisters, Marjorie Shaw and Brenda Judd; four brothers, William Gass, Jerry Wayne Gass, P. G. Gass and Ed Gass.

Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in New Salem Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Alternate expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the American Diabetes Association or the American Cancer Society.

Jimmy Ross Geralds

TOMPKINSVILLE – Jimmy Ross Geralds, 69, of Tompkinsville, passed away Thursday, July 25, 2013, at his home.

He was born April 29, 1944, in Monroe County, to the late Travis Geralds and Nell Ross Geralds. He was a retired forest ranger for Kentucky Division of Forestry and a farmer. He was a member of Germany Church of Christ. He was united in marriage on July 18, 1970, to Margaret Turner in Edmonton.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret Geralds, of Tompkinsville; one daughter, Rexanna Proffitt and husband Johnny, of Tompkinsville; one brother, William David Geralds, of Louisville; three sisters, Virgina Brown and Nancy Hagan and husband David, all of Tompkinsville, Betty Kerr and husband Chester, of Greenfield, Ind.; stepsister; Karen Smith, of Tompkinsville; two granddaughters, Marci Turner, of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Sherilyn Proffitt, of Nashville, Tenn.; and two great-grandchildren, Trace Flannery and Kye Rich.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Tommy Turner; and stepmother, Kathryn Geralds.

Funeral services will be Saturday, July 27, at 1 p.m. at Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville with burial to follow in Monroe County Memorial Lawn.

Visitation will be after 1 p.m. on Friday and after 7:30 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.


Pellie G. Graves III

SCOTTSVILLE – Pellie G. Graves III, died Wednesday, July 24, 2013, at his residence.

He is survived by his wife, Darla Jent Graves, and his mother, Carol Wygal Ulsh and stepfather, Neil Ulsh.

He was preceded in death by his father, P. G. Graves II.

Visitation will begin after 1 p.m. Friday, July 26, at Strode Funeral Home Scottsville Chapel. Funeral service will be 3 p.m. Saturday, July 27, at the funeral home.

Joseph Terry Lane

CENTER – Joseph Terry Lane, 55, of the Node community, Center, died Wednesday, July 24, at home.

He was a son of the late Preston and Elsie Jeffries Lane and was a self-employed masonry worker. He was a member of Seven Springs Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

He is survived by one sister, Janice (Clay) Turner, Summer Shade; one brother, Jimmy (Teresa) Lane, Hiseville; nephew, Joey Lane; and nieces, Amanda Brown and Jamie Clark. Several great-nieces and nephews, cousins, and a host of friends also survive.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Nancy Karen Lane.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, July 27, at Seven Springs Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Brother Mark Copas and Brother Randall Gray officiating. Burial will follow in the Lane Cemetery.

Visitation will begin Friday at 4 p.m. at McMurtrey Funeral Home and continue at 9 a.m. Saturday at the church, until funeral time.

Joe Randall McKinney

GLASGOW – Joe Randall McKinney, 59, of Glasgow, died Thursday, July 25, 2013, at his home.

His arrangements are incomplete, but are under the direction of A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home.
