Myrtle Coop Moore
BON AYR – Myrtle Coop Moore, 78, Bon Ayr, died Monday, July 22, 2013, at Barren County Health Care Center.
A native of Cumberland County, she was a daughter of the late Letha and Add Cooper Sr., and was a homemaker.
Survivors include three children, Steve Moore, Danny Joe Moore, and Gloria Winchester; four grandchildren, Amy Winchester Griggs and husband Jeremy, Shane Winchester and wife Monica, James Moore, and Jason Moore; four great-grandchildren, Mason Griggs, Maddox Griggs, Jackson Cole Winchester, and Lola Winchester; one sister, Dorotha Baum; one brother, Add Coop Jr.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Moore; two brothers, James “Buddy” Coop and Webb “Sonny” Coop; and one sister, Priscilla Groll.
Graveside services will be 4 p.m. Wednesday at Bon Ayr Cemetery under the direction of Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home. There will be no visitation.
BOWLING GREEN – Joe Payne, 78, of Bowling Green, died Monday, July 22, 2013, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family and friends.
Joe was a retired farmer and retired after 36 years from the Warren County School System as a bus driver. He honorably served his country in the United States Army. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. Joe was the son of the late Aubrey and Minnie Jones Payne. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Glenn Payne; and two sisters, Edna Sexton and Blanche Gibson.
He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Imogine Payne; three sons, Joe Payne Jr, and Andy Payne, both of Bowling Green, Master Sergeant Rollie Hodges and wife Gina, of Charlestown, Ind.; five daughters, Debbie Jones and husband Terry, of Oliver Springs, Tenn., Linda Moore, of Bowling Green, Phyllis Zimmerman and her husband Paul, of Tucson, Ariz., Paula Hodges, of Bowling Green, and Donna Jackson and her husband Kiley, of Glasgow; 16 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 4 to 8 Wednesday and after 9 a.m. Thursday at J.C. Kirby and Son Broadway Chapel. Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with burial in Bowling Green Gardens.
