GLASGOW — Darrell Boyd Capshaw

TOMPKINSVILLE – Darrell Boyd Capshaw, 81, of Tompkinsville, died Friday, July 12, 2013, at The Palace in Red Boiling Springs, Tenn.

Darrell was born in Tompkinsville on March 15, 1932, a son of the late Virgie (Poland) and Winfred Capshaw.

On June 12, 1954, in Glasgow, by Newman Curtis, he was married to Margie (Rhoton) Capshaw, who survives him.

Funeral services were 2 p.m. Sunday at Yokley-Trible Funeral Home. Gene Gearlds officiated. Burial was in Macedonia Cemetery.

Forresta Cox

GLASGOW – Forresta Cox, daughter of Betty Graham and Jerry Cox, died Saturday, July 13, 2013, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital.

Besides her parents, she is survived by three brothers, Stephen Graham, Jeremy Cox and Justin Cox; two sisters, Marline Graham and Lantorine Cox; and her maternal grandparents, Lonnie and Judy Winchester.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Bobby Cox and Berdine Cox; her maternal great-grandparents, Walter Cross and Betty Maxine Cross; and a brother, Daniel Graham.

There will be a graveside service 1 p.m. Tuesday at Little Barren Cemetery. Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

 

Coleen Dicken

TOMPKINSVILLE – Coleen Dicken, 79, of Tompkinsville, died Saturday, July 13, 2013, at The Medical Center of Bowling Green.

Coleen was born July 10, 1934, a daughter of the late Paul and Amy (Emberton) Gill. On Nov. 8, 1952, she married L.E. Dicken, who preceded her in death.

Funeral services were Monday, July 15. Brother Gary Emberton officiated. Burial was in Memorial Lawn Cemetery.

Cleo Johnny Lemons

GLASGOW – Cleo Johnny Lemons, 72, of Glasgow, died Sunday, July 14, 2013, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital.

Born in Barren County, he was the son of the late Johnny Princess and Mandy Catherine Neal Lemons. Mr. Lemons was a retired forklift operator for General Motors in Indianapolis, Ind., and retired HHB, Kentucky National Guard, 623rd FA in Glasgow.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda Pulliam Lemons; one son, Grant Lemons and wife Michelle, of Glasgow; four grandchildren, Joseph, Heather, Eric and Brittany; one great-grandchild, Harmony; four sisters, Helen Houchens, of Glasgow, Virgie McCormick, Frankie Lemons and Jeannie Bratcher, all of Bowling Green. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by six brothers and sisters, James McClusky, Katherine Woods, Bobby Lemons, Lorene Rigsby, Stanley Lemons and Patricia Miller.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, July 18, 2013, at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home, with burial in Cedar Cross Cemetery in Allen County. Visitation will be after 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
