GLASGOW — Donita Francis Firkins

GLASGOW – Donita Francis Firkins, 54, of Glasgow, died Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2012, at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville as the result of injuries received in a house fire at her home.

Her arrangements are incomplete, but are under the direction of A.F. Crow and Son Funeral Home.

Mattie Denham Perkins Glass

EDMONTON – Mattie Denham Perkins Glass, 99, of Edmonton, formerly of Summer Shade and Florida, died Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2012, at Metcalfe County Health Care.

She was a daughter of the late Jodie C. and Bessie Waller Denham and was of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by one son, Isaac Dalton Perkins, of Texas; sister-in-law, Betty Perkins, of Tennessee; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Melvin Perkins and Buell Glass; one son, Bobbie Lee Perkins; and six brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be Saturday, Sept. 8, at 1 p.m. at McMurtrey Funeral Home with Brother Dexter Bacon officiating. Burial will follow in Summer Shade Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, Sept. 7, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Breast Cancer Society or the church of one’s choice c/o McMurtrey Funeral Home, 2232 Summer Shade Road, Summer Shade, KY 42166.

   

Wanda Fay Priddy

HARDYVILLE – Wanda Fay Priddy, 60, of Hardyville, died Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2012, at her home.

She  was the daughter of the late King William Dennis and Jessie Marie Pennington Dennis.

Wanda Fay is survived by her husband, Eddie Priddy.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday in the chapel of Sego Funeral Home with Brother Jim Adkins officiating. Burial will be in Whickerville Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. and after 8 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.

GLASGOW– James Staten, 60, of Glasgow, died Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2012, at his home.

His arrangements are incomplete, but are under the direction of A.F. Crow and Son Funeral Home.
