James F. Duckett

BOWLING GREEN – James F. Duckett, 81, of Bowling Green, died Monday, Dec. 31, 2012, at The Medical Center at Bowling Green.

He was the son of the late Thomas J. Duckett and Lottie Russell Duckett.

Survivors include his wife, Ludean Duckett.

Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Friday at Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Bowling Green Chapel, with burial in Fairview Cemetery #2.

Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Harold Houchens

FOUNTAIN RUN – Harold Houchens, 80, of Lamb, died Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012, at his residence.

He was the son of the late Evans Ray Houchens and the late Betty Ann Temple.

Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2, at Fountain Run Funeral Home with burial in Antioch Cemetery with full military honors by DAV Chapter 20 of Glasgow.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 8 a.m. until service time.

Edna Marie Jessie

GLASGOW – Edna Marie Jessie, 67, of Glasgow, died Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013, at her home. 

She was the daughter of the late Curt and Clora Poore England. She was a homemaker and wife of Johnie D. Jessie of Glasgow, who survives. 

Besides her husband, she is survived by three sons, Ricky (Felicia) Jessie of Glasgow, Danny (Glenda) Jessie of Edmonton and Gary Jessie of Glasgow; four daughters, Shelia (Willie) Jones, Lisa (Lynn) Rich, Terri (Tommy) Neal and Juanita (Allen) Hagan, all of Glasgow; 12 grandchildren, Karly Jessie, Eric (Beth) Jessie, April (Chris) Shaw, Brittany Jessie, Tiffany (Will) Gray, Nikki Jones, Brandon Rich, Tanya (Rob) Slack, Tosha Neal, Cameron Neal, Ashley Hagan and Chase Jessie; five great-grandchildren, Dalton Jessie, Robbie Slack, Anna Slack, Lane Jennings and Tucker Jennings; two sisters, Daisy Jessie of Edmonton and Rosie Poynter of Indiana; and three brothers, Hobert England and Ernest England of Indiana, and Larry England of Edmonton.  

She was preceded in death by one sister, Pearl Jessie, and four brothers, William Jessie, Luther Rowe England, Edward Jessie and Curtis England.

Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Butler Funeral Home with burial in Bragg Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and after 9 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
