Jimmy Darrel Basham
SCOTTSVILLE – Jimmy Darrel Basham, 66, of Scottsville, died at 4:54 a.m. Friday, May 24, 2013, at the Medical Center at Scottsville.
The Round Hill, Ky., native was a retired employee of Allen County Farmers Service and a Vietnam U.S. Army veteran. He was a son of the late Vollie Basham and Mary Francis Lawrence Basham.
He is survived by his companion, Joyce Ann Newnum, of Scottsville; one son, James Michael Basham and wife, Michelle, of Park City; one daughter, Sherry Dean Nichols and husband, Joe, of Bowling Green; one stepdaughter, Brenda Lee Cummings, of Scottsville; three brothers, Tommy Basham and Virgil Basham, both of Round Hill; Toby Basham, of Bowling Green; six sisters, Loretta Dicicco, Edith Young, Marla Cline, Jeretta Houchens, Diane Ladd and Lisa Clothier, all of Bowling Green; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Lonnie Basham.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Goad Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Richard Lynn Herrington officiating and burial in Crescent Hill Cemetery with military honors by Ft. Campbell. Visitation will be after 3 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Janice Carol Botts Ford Fox
TOMKINSVILLE — Janice Carol Botts Ford Fox, 64, of Tompkinsville, died Wednesday, May 22, 2013, at her residence.
Janice was born in Tompkinsville on June 28, 1948, a daughter of the late Pauline (Crowe) and Mitchell Botts.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Randall Ford. She is survived by her second husband, Roger Fox.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Yokley Trible Funeral Home with Brother Josh Cook officiating.
Visitation is after 11 a.m. Saturday and 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Ebenezer Cemetery.
David Ray Glass
BEDFORD, Ind. — David Ray Glass, 27, of Bedford, Ind., died Friday, May 24, 2013, at Garden Villa in Bedford.
He was the son of David Neal Keith, of Tompkinsville, and Vickie Glass Keith, of Newport Richey, Fla.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Strode Funeral Home with burial to follow in Basil Wilson Cemetery in Monroe County. Visitation will be after 10:30 a.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
CENTER — Earl Harlow, 86, of Center, passed away Thursday, May 23, 2013, at his home.
He was a native of Metcalfe County, a farmer and a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church. He was also a Kentucky Colonel.
He was preceded in death by his parents, W.C. and Lola Mae South Harlow; a son, Mike Harlow; a brother, Ray Harlow; and by a sister, Elizabeth Bingham.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Isabelle Crain Harlow, of Center; his daughter, Becky Waters and her husband Ricky, of Horse Cave; two sons, Gary Harlow and Samantha, of Center, and Larry Harlow, of Glasgow; his daughter-in-law, Glenda Harlow, of Center; five grandchildren, Brian Melloan and his wife Becca, Derek Harlow and his wife Molly, Mandy Harlow, Kyle Harlow and his wife Lora and Brooke Waters; and six great-grandchildren; a brother, Carl Harlow, of Center; and a sister, Gloria Freeman, of Louisville.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, May 26, in the chapel of Winn Funeral Home in Horse Cave with burial to follow in the Center Cemetery. Visitation will be 1:30 until 8 p.m. Saturday and from 9 a.m. until funeral time Sunday at the funeral home.
Etta Mae Huff
MUNFORDVILLE — Etta Mae Wright Huff, 81, of Munfordville, died Friday, May 24, 2013, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital.
She was the daughter of the late James Wright and the late Ada Adams Huff Wright.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband William “Dooley” Huff Jr.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday with Pastor John Smith officiating at Brooks Funeral Home. Interment will be in Munfordville City Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
CHALYBEATE — James Edward Miller, 73, of Chalybeate, died Wednesday, May 22, 2013, at The Medical Center at Bowling Green. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Sunday at Gravil Funeral Home in Brownsville with burial in Kinser Cemetery.
