Myrl Lee Bennett
HORSE CAVE – Myrl Lee Bennett, 75, of Horse Cave, passed away Thursday, June 6, 2013, at his home.
Mr. Bennett was a farmer and retired from Eaton Axle Division of Glasgow, member of Rock Springs Baptist Church, avid fisherman and was a U.S. Army veteran.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Nellie Franklin Bennett; two sisters, Opal London and Emojean Wells; three brothers, Thomas Bennett, Junior Bennett and his twin brother, Gerald Bennett; one grandson, Gregory Lane.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy Lou Turner Bennett, of Horse Cave; three children, Pam Lane and husband Brent, of Horse Cave, Donna K. Eurton and husband Mark, of New Albany, Ind., Chris Bennett and wife Sandy, of Horse Cave; 15 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mae Ola Sexton, of Horse Cave, and Cloteel London, of Hiseville, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday, June 9, 2013, in the chapel of Winn Funeral Home with burial in Hiseville Cemetery. Military service will be conducted at the cemetery by D.A.V. Chapter 20 of Glasgow.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. Sunday until funeral service at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
GLASGOW – Maurine Chapman, 90, of Glasgow, died Friday, June 7, 2013, at Barren County Health Care in Glasgow.
Her arrangements are incomplete, but are under the direction of A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home.
SMITHS GROVE – Junior Edwards, 58, of Smiths Grove, died Thursday, June 6, 2013, at The Medical Center at Bowling Green.
He was the son of the late William Edwards and Ezella Napier Edwards, who survives.
He was the husband of Tammy Edwards, who survives.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Smiths Grove Chapel, with burial in Hays Cemetery. Visitation will be 1 to 8 p.m. Monday and 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
EDMONTON – Neal Froedge, 73, of Edmonton, died Thursday, June 6, 2013, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow.
He was the son of the late John R. and Velma Froedge.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday and after 9 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Lecta White Moore
TOMPKINSVILLE – Lecta White Moore, 91, of Tompkinsville, died Friday, June 7, 2013, at Monroe County Medical Center.
Born in Monroe County, on Nov. 14, 1921, she was a daughter of the late Viola (Abney) and David White.
She was the widow of Glen who died May 10, 1984.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Yokley Trible Funeral Home with Brother Stanley Wooden and Martin Ballard officiating. Visitation is Saturday after 4 p.m. and will continue until funeral time on Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Centerpoint Cemetery.
