GLASGOW — Raymond Merle Tooley

TOMPKINSVILLE – Raymond Merle Tooley, 81, of Tompkinsville, died Thursday, Nov. 1, at his home.

On April 21, 1956, in Celina, Tenn., he married Louise (Hammer) Tooley, who died on Dec. 14, 1984.

Merle was born in Monroe County, on Oct. 18, 1931, a son of the late Opal (Huff) and Joe Tooley. He served in the U.S. Navy in the Korean War. He worked as a farmer and was a member of the Church of Christ. Merle was known by all for his musical talents.

Merle is survived by a daughter, Rayna (Doug) Page, of Tompkinsville; two sons, Jerry, (Debbie) Tooley, of Tompkinsville and Michael (Tammy) Tooley, of Bowling Green. Merle is also survived by nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Hammer Tooley and his parents, Joe and Opal (Huff) Tooley.

Funeral services will be at Yokley Trible Funeral Home, Tompkinsville, at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 4, with Lewis Blythe officiating.

Visitation begins Saturday at 1 p.m. at Yokley Trible Funeral Home and Sunday from 6 a.m. until 1 p.m. Burial will be in Wilson Cemetery. Donations are suggested to the Imagination Library.



Norma L. Magers

SMITHS GROVE – Norma L. Magers, 82, of Smiths Grove, died Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2012, at her residence.

She was the daughter of the late Carl Magers and Verda Bishop Magers.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, at Hardy and Son Funeral Home, Smiths Grove Chapel, with burial in Hays Cemetery.



Merida Faye Tribble- Sublett

GLASGOW – Merida Faye Tribble-Sublett, 60, of Glasgow, died Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2012, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow.

Survivors include, a daughter, April Regine Sublett, of Glasgow; three grandchildren; a brother, Leonard Tribble and a sister, Sharon Brown.

The funeral will be 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 5, at Owens Chapel Baptist Church, with Dr. E.A. Duke officiating. Burial will follow in Owens Chapel Church Cemetery.

Visitation after 5 p.m. Sunday at the church. Watts and Percell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.



Ann Louise Talley

BOWLING GREEN –  Ann Louise Talley, 61, of Bowling Green, died Thursday, Nov. 1, 2012, at The Medical Center at Bowling Green.

She was the daughter of the late Travis Forsythe and Jesse Mitchell, who survives, and wife of the late Billy Ray Talley Sr.

Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Monday at Hardy and Son Funeral Home, Bowling Green Chapel with burial in Fairview Cemetery #2.

Visitation will be 2 until 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
