BOWLING GREEN — Samuel Levi Talley, 78, of Bowling Green, died Tuesday, May 13, 2014, at Vanderbilt Medical Center.
He was a son of the late Toy Levi and Betty Icyphene Cavin Talley.
He was retired from General Motors.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda Dean Houchens Talley; seven children, Sandra Gross (Jimmie), Samuel Talley Jr. (Sharon), Frank Talley, Jamie Skaggs (Eric), Charles Talley (Rhonda), Brian Talley and Shawn Talley (Geneka); seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two stepdaughters, Jo Garmon (Jeff) and Lisa Mosier (John); several step-grandchildren; several step-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Joyce Petty and Virginia McKnight; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife and mother of his children, Joan Talley; one brother, Loyd Talley; one sister, Lois McQueen.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Friday at Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home, with cremation to follow and burial in Richwood Cemetery in Corning, Ark.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
