Fred Anthony ‘Andy’ Dyer
TOMPKINSVILLE – Fred Anthony “Andy” Dyer, 50, of Tompkinsville, died Friday, June 29, 2012, at Sumner Regional Medical Center in Gallatin, Tenn.
He was the son of Clorene “Tody” Stewart Dyer of Tompkinsville and the late Fred Dyer.
Graveside services were 2 p.m. Sunday at Harlans Crossroads Cemetery. Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville was in charge of arrangements.
Memorials are suggested to Harlans Crossroads Cemetery.
Eddie M. Felson
LOUISVILLE – Eddie M. Felson, 67, of Louisville, died Thursday, June 28, 2012, at Robley Rex VA Med Center in Louisville.
He was retired from Louisville International Airport, a U.S. Marine Veteran and a Methodist.
The Louisville native was the son of the late Fred Hess and late Opal Holmes Hines. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one son and two daughters.
He is survived by fiance Bessie Logsdon; two cousins: Dick Willis, of Louisville, and Barry Lee Walker, of Brandenburg; three stepdaughters: Betty Briner and Laura Oller, both of Louisville, and Mary McKinney, of Robinson, IL; several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 8 a.m. Until noon on Monday at Brooks Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at noon Monday at the funeral home with Rev. Edward Adcock officiating. Interment will be at Cap Anderson Cemetery in Brandenburg. Military honors will be conducted at the graveside.
Manie Beckner Greene
PARK CITY – Manie Beckner Greene, 95, of Park City, passed away Friday, June 29, 2012, in Glasgow.
She was born in Edmonson County to the late Veachel Beckner and the late Josie Wilkins Beckner and was the wife of the late Wavie Clifford Greene.
She was a retired postmaster in Park City, member of Eastern Star and Park City Baptist Church where she was a Sunday school teacher and past president of WMU.
She is survived by three sons, Ed Greene (Loretta) of Rio Rancho, NM, David Greene (Kim) of Glasgow, and Doug Greene (Julie) of Oak Ridge, TN; one sister, Eugenia Smith of Greenwood, IN; eight grandchildren, Stephanie Lopez, Jason Greene (Anji), Bradley Greene (Amber), Andrew Greene, Lauren Szymanksi (Erik), Layne Grime (Jonathon), Catherine Greene and Meredith Greene; and two great-grandchildren, Drew Greene and Ella Greene.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Loyd, Homer and Albert Beckner; and four sisters, Elsie Cassidy, Enola Fryer, Elizabeth “Buffy” England and Hazel Shirley.
Visitation was 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, July 1, 2012, and 9 to 11 a.m. Monday, July 2, 2012, at Patton Funeral Home, Park City Chapel. The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday, July 2, 2012, at Patton Funeral Home, Park City Chapel, with burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
