GLASGOW — Phyllis Dean Ballard

GLASGOW— Phyllis Dean Ballard, 65, of Glasgow,

died Tuesday, May 21, 2013, at Greenview Regional

Hospital in Bowling Green.

She was born in Austin,

the daughter of the late

Jack Thomerson and Ruby

Houchens Thomerson

Birge. Mrs. Ballard was a

homemaker and Baptist by

faith.

She is survived by her

husband Jerry; five children,

Deanna Carroll and

husband Donavon, of

Smiths Grove, Melissa

Ballard, of Glasgow, Chris

Ballard and wife Beverly,

of Glasgow, Lori Pedigo

and husband Derek, of

Glasgow, and Wade Ballard

and wife Laurie, of Bon Ayr; 12 grandchildren,

Christina, Meghan, Renee, Anthony, Josh, Cody, Briar,

Bailey, Sydney, Austin, Jeremy and Brandy; six

great-grandchildren; one brother, Gary Thomerson, of

Park City; three sisters, Susie Smith, of Glasgow,

Nancy Young Nichols, of Temple Hill, and Gladys

Sizemore, of Etoile; two sisters-in-law, Annie Jessie

(Ray), of Columbus, Ind., and Ollie Grissom, of Glasgow,

and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Kelly Renee

Ballard.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday, May 24, at

A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Caney

Fork Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday.

Marcella Lile

MONROE — Marcella Lile, 74, of the Monroe

community, died Tuesday, May 21, 2013, at Caverna

Memorial Hospital in Horse Cave.

Mrs. Lile was born in Metcalfe county and was preceded

in death by her husband Emmett (Shimmy)

Lile, and parents, Virgil and Una Judd Robertson.

Funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Friday,

May 24, in the chapel of Winn Funeral Home with

burial in Whickerville Cemetery. Visitation will be 2

to 9 p.m. Thursday and after 9 a.m. Friday at the funeral

home.

C — Mae Jewell Martin, 83, of Cave

City, passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2013, at her

home.

Born June 7, 1929, in

the Finney Community of

Barren County, she was

the daughter of the late

Earl and Ermis Huddleston

Green.

She is survived by her

husband of 62 years, Wendell

Martin; daughters,

Marcus Martin Pedigo and

Vienessa Martin, of Cave

City; and grandson, Lee

Pedigo, of Nashville,

Tenn. Additional survivors

are her brothers, Danny

Green and wife Amy, of

Glasgow, Andrew Green,

of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; and brother-in-law, Odell

Martin and wife Elizabeth, of Horse Cave. Special

thanks to caregivers, Jessica, Tabbi, Dyann and

Danielle.

The family would like to acknowledge the wonderful

and supportive care provided by the T.J. Samson

Hospice Team of Dr. William Travis, Nancy Withers,

Cheryl Reece and Elaine Mouser.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Friday, May 24,

at Cave City Cemetery. Visitation at Bob Hunt Funeral

Chapel, Cave City, will be from 3 to 8 p.m. on

Thursday, May 23.

TOMPKINSVILLE — David Dewayne Turner, 48,

of Tompkinsville, died Monday, May 20, 2013, at

Monroe County Medical Center. Funeral services will

be 1 p.m. Thursday at Yokley Trible Funeral Home.

Burial will be in Neal Cemetery.
